Silverstone Classic

This summer’s Silverstone Classic is all set to be another record breaker with an action-packed programme of 24 races spanning eight decades of glorious motor sport history.

Already firmly established as the world’s biggest classic motor racing festival, the mouth-watering line-up for 2013’s extravaganza features all the hugely popular historic Formula One, sportscar, GT and touring car grids that produced such close racing last year plus some exciting new showdowns.

With race entries totalling more than 1000 starters and many grids fielding more than 55 cars, the massive event maximizes both National and Wing pit complexes.

Away from the racing, the Silverstone Classic is also a Mecca for car enthusiasts with 100+ motor clubs displaying more than 7000 classic cars. Notable highlights this summer include a special tribute to 100 years of legendary marque Aston Martin as well as a mega parade of 911 Porsche 911s to mark 50 years of Germany’s finest sportscar.

The evocative festival boasts an ‘access all areas’ policy with all tickets providing entry not only to both race paddocks, classic car displays and track side grandstands but also to live music concerts on both Friday and Saturday evenings. Pop legends The Hollies top the bill this year and are joined on stage by The Stars From The Commitments and several top tribute bands performing classic tracks from Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin and the Eagles.

As the World’s biggest classic motor racing festival, the Silverstone Classic fills the entire Silverstone complex. The racing is staged on the full historic Grand Prix Circuit with both National and new Wing pits/paddocks in full operation. Adding to the festival are thousands and thousands of classic cars displayed on the in-field areas.

Event Information

• Can I get in to the Pit and or Paddock area?

  For all events excluding the MotoGP and Formula One™ there is free paddock access.

• Can I take photos?

  Photographic equipment, mobile telephones and other communications devices are permitted within the Venue provided that they are used for personal and private non-commercial purposes. Further Terms and Conditions apply.

• What time do the gates open/close? (Changes per event)

  Gate opening times are yet to be confirmed.

Travel and Directions

• Where can I park overnight?

  There is no overnight parking at the circuit. Car parks close at 10pm.

• How much does it cost to park?

  Parking is free at all excluding Formula One™ events.

• What time do car parks open?

  Opening times vary depending on event and are open until 10pm.

• Where is the nearest train station?

  Silverstone is situated between 3 stations: Northampton, Milton Keynes and Banbury. They are all roughly 30 minutes from the circuit.

• Where can I park?

  For all events excluding Formula One™ there are free general parking areas surrounding the site.

• How do I get to Silverstone?

• How much are tickets on the gate?

• What age do you have to be to be classed as a child?

  Aged 15 years and under.

• Do children need a ticket?

  Children under 15 are free for all events excluding the MotoGP and Formula One™. All children 15 years and under need a ticket, even if their ticket is free.

• When will my tickets be despatched?

  Ticket dispatch starts 2-4 weeks before the given event

Accommodation

• Do I need to purchase a Parking Pass if I have a Camping ticket?

  No. Parking in close proximity to the campsite is covered within the cost of the ticket.

• Can I camp at Silverstone Circuit?
