WALTER HAYES TROPHY

The Walter Hayes Trophy is regarded as one of British motor racing’s top race meetings. 2013 will be the event’s thirteenth running, and this end-of-season spectacular provides superb on-track action.

Over 150 Formula Ford 1600 cars will line up to take part in a knockout-style competition that will see racers from around the globe participate in a series of qualifying races during two days of fast and furious action around the 1.6 mile National Circuit.

Only the fastest 36 will make it through to compete in Sunday’s Grand Final which will reward the winner with the prestigious Walter Hayes Trophy. In 2012 Team USA driver, Tristan Nunez, won the coveted title – the third such Silverstone WHT victory for Team USA!

The WHT is great fun for all the family and will also feature support races for single-seater, saloon and sports cars.

Event Information

• Can I take photos?

  Photographic equipment, mobile telephones and other communications devices are permitted within the Venue provided that they are used for personal and private non-commercial purposes. Further Terms and Conditions apply.

• What time do the gates open/close?

  Gate opening times are yet to be confirmed

Travel and Directions

• Where can I park overnight?

  There is no overnight parking at the circuit. Car parks close at 10pm.

• How much does it cost to park?

  Parking is free at all excluding Formula One™ events.

• What time do car parks open?

  Opening times vary depending on event and are open until 10pm.

• Where is the nearest train station?

  Silverstone is situated between 3 stations: Northampton, Milton Keynes and Banbury. They are all roughly 30 minutes from the circuit.

• Where can I park?

  For all events excluding Formula One™ there are free general parking areas surrounding the site.

• Can I get in to the Pit and or Paddock area?

  For all events excluding the MotoGP and Formula One™ there is free paddock access.

• How do I get to Silverstone?

Ticket Information

• What is a Roving Grandstand ticket?

  A Roving Grandstand ticket gives you access to a selection of grandstands at the circuit and allows you to choose your seat in any of these grandstands on a first come, first served basis.

• When do tickets for this event go off sale?

  Timings will vary for each event, please see the individual event Overview tab for more details.

• How much are tickets on the gate?

  Please see individual event page for On The Day prices.

• What age do you have to be to be classed as a child?

  Aged 15 years and under.

• Do children need a ticket?

  Children under 15 are free for all events excluding the MotoGP and Formula One™. All children 15 years and under need a ticket, even if their ticket is free. One adult can accompany up to maximum four children.

• When will my tickets be despatched?

  Ticket dispatch starts 2-4 weeks before the given event

Accommodation

• Do I need to purchase a Parking Pass if I have a Camping ticket?

  No. Parking in close proximity to the campsite is covered within the cost of the ticket.

• Can I camp at Silverstone Circuit?

  There is camping available at select events, please see individual event page for details.

• Where can I find information on places to stay?

  There are a number of hotels, campsites, B&B's and self catering accomodation on the accommodation section of the website.

• Where can Blue Badge holders park?

  Blue badge holders park in car park 50 to the left of the main entrance, please display blue badge on arrival. For MotoGP, please call 08443 728 200 to prebook a disabled parking bay.

• Can Mobility Scooters and Wheelchairs be hired at the circuit?
