The Southern Circuit

The southern loop of the famous Grand Prix track which includes the Hangar Straight - perfect for allowing the bikes to stretch their legs on our Ron Haslam Race School days.

Height, Weight, Age and Licence Restrictions

• Can I use my international driving licence?

  No licence is required for the On-Track course or the Premier Package.

• Can I use my automatic driving licence?

  No licence is required for the On-Track course or the Premier Package.

• How long should I have held my licence for and how old do I need to be to take this experience?

  No licence is required, however the participant must not hold any dangerous driving convictions. Participants must be 12 years and over to ride the CBR125's and 14 years and over can ride the CBF500A's, see On-Track package. To take the Premier Package experience participants must be 18 years or over, be competent riding a motorcycle with clutch and gears and have ridden/ or is currently riding a similar cc motorcycle or restricted motorcycle of a similar cc to the Honda CBR600RRA to attend.

• Can my child do an experience?

  Yes, dependant on age and if they are competent riding a motorcycle with clutch and gears. Ages 12 and above use the CBR125 and 14 years and over can use the CBF500A, see On-Track package.

• Can I change my date once it is booked?

  Participants can change their date up to two weeks prior to the event. For further information about date changes and cancellations, contact the Ron Haslam Race School on 01332 883323.

• How do I find out the dates the experiences are running on?

• How do I pay for my ticket?

  You can buy an open voucher from the Silverstone website (We accept most major credit cards with the exception of American Express and Diners Club cards.) or contact the Ron Haslam Race School on 01332 883323

Voucher Information

• How do I purchase a voucher?

  You can purchase an open voucher on the Silverstone website or to purchase a dated voucher contact the Ron Haslam Race School on 01332 883323

• How long is my voucher valid for?

  The On-Track and Premier Package Open Voucher is valid for 12 months from the date of purchase and must be redeemed and taken within this time.

• When should I book my open voucher?

  We recommend as soon as possible, as the courses and sign on times can get very busy. Contact the Ron Haslam Race School on 01332 883323 to redeem your voucher or book a dated voucher.

Clothing and Attire

• Can I use my own helmet?

  Yes, subject to inspection by the kit room staff on the day.

• What do I need to wear?

  Leather, boots, gloves, helmet and wetsuit (if required) are provided for the participant. The participant may wish to wear their own kit at their own risk. Kit room staff will check suitability of the participant's own clothing subject to condition and year.

Photography

• Is there a photographer on the day?

  There is normally an official photographer on the day, however this cannot be guaranteed.

Directions, Spectator and Participation Information

• How do I get to Silverstone?

  Visit the Contact Us section for directions.

• Can spectators come and watch?

  Yes, however if the date coinsides with a major event only one car pass will be issued for entry in to the circuit.

• How do I get to the Silverstone Experience Centre once I arrive at the circuit?

  Arrive at the main gate and the security will advise you.

• What happens if it rains?

  Participants are advised to turn up at Silverstone for the event as normal. We never cancel before an event. Ron Haslam will inspect the circuit with Health & Safety and Silverstone circuit officials and if the decision to stand down is made, there may be an unavoidable delay. If the weather has set in and the circuit is too wet to run, then Ron will make the decision to call the event off. In this scenario, participants will be offered a suitable reschedule or a refund.

• What time do I need to arrive?

  Approx. 15 minutes before your sign on time.

• Can I combine two experiences?

  Yes, depending on availability. On-Track can be completed in the morning and if the participant is over 18 then they could do the Premier Package in the afternoon.

• Where can I purchase refreshments from?

  There is a coffee shop at the drive school selling coffees, soft drinks and hot and cold snacks.
