Rookie Ride - Level 1 Master Control £50 pp

Fancy yourself as the next Valentino Rossi or Leon Haslam? Our new Rookie Ride gives you the chance to hone your skills in a safe and fun environment.

To start the day you will be given a safety briefing by a Silverstone Instructor. The practical session will last about an hour, during which, you'll be introduced to the controls and learn how to get the scooter rolling and stopping safely. You will then practice controlling the scooter at low speeds, riding around a simple course. When you are ready you will gradually build up speed and try a more advanced course lay out. By the end of the day you will be ready to progress on to one of our more advanced courses - coming soon

Driver Requirements:

• Age - From 13 years*
• Minimum Height - 4ft 10ins
• Maximum Weight - 18st
• Driving license: - Partcipants do not require a licence for this experience

• Can I use my international driving licence?

  No licence is required for the Rookie Ride Experience.

• Can I use my automatic driving licence?

  No licence is required for the Rookie Ride experience.

• Are there are height restrictions for this experience?

  Minimum height requirement: 4ft 10ins

• Are there any weight restrictions for this event?

  Maximum Weight - 18st

• How long should I have held my licence for and how old do I need to be to take this experience?

  No licence is required for the Rookie Ride experience.

• Can my child do an experience?

  Yes, the Rookie Ride is specifically designed for teenagers from the age 13 years plus.

Booking and Availability

• Can I change my date once it is booked?

  No, once time and date is confirmed they are final and cannot be changed.

• How do I find out the dates the experiences are running on?

  Please check the experience details section or please call 08443 728 270 – all dates are subject to availability.

• How do I pay for my ticket?

  We accept most major credit cards with the exception of American Express and Diners Club cards.

Voucher Information

• How do I purchase a voucher?

  Please purchase online or call 08443 728 270.

• How long is my voucher valid for?

  The Rookie Ride Open Voucher is valid for 12 months from the date of purchase and must be redeemed and taken within this time.

• When should I book my open voucher?

  We recommend within 9 months from the date of purchase for better date availability. Varies per experience.

• What does Cancellation Indemnity cover me for?

  Cancellation indemnity allows participants to rearrange their experience date, once booked, for any unforeseen circumstance – such as illness, injury or breakdown which has to be proved by official document. It does not cover for double bookings, or personal commitments such as weddings or stag/hen parties. (Please see our Terms and Conditions for more details).

• What does Accident damage indemnity cover me for?

  A: Accident Damage Indemnity reduces the potential cost of accident damage from £1,500 to £0 (Please see our Terms and Conditions for more details)

Clothing and Attire

• Can I use my own helmet?

  Yes, subject to inspection by the instructor on the day.

• What do I need to wear?

  Clothing that covers your arms and legs and flat soled narrow shoes need to be worn on all experiences.

Photography

• Is there a photographer on the day?

  There is normally an official photographer on the day, however this cannot be guaranteed.

Directions, Spectator and Participation Information

• How do I get to Silverstone?

  Visit the Contact Us section for directions.

• Can spectators come and watch?

  Yes, however if the date coinsides with a major event only one car pass will be issued for entry in to the circuit.

• How do I get to the Silverstone Experience Centre once I arrive at the circuit?

  Arrive at the main gate and the security will advise you.

• What happens if it rains?

  There is an automated weather phone line which is updated if there is a problem on the morning of your experience 0844 3728 207. Please phone this to check there are any problems before arriving at the circuit.

• What time do I need to arrive?

  At least 40 minutes before start time.

• Can I combine two experiences?

  Yes, depending on availability.

• Where can I purchase refreshments from?

  There is a coffee shop at the drive school selling coffees, soft drinks and hot and cold snacks.
