This is your chance to sample the thundering power of the Mercedes 6.3-litre V8 engine with high-speed circuit driving.

General Information

Driver Requirements

• Height Requirements - 5ft 2ins - 6ft 4ins
• Maximum Weight - 16st
• Driving Licence: Participants need to be aged 21 or over and have held a full driving licence for at least 3 years which must be presented on the day.

Cancellation Indemnity

Please note that Cancellation Indemnity can be purchased for £10.

Accident Damage Indemnity

Accident Damage Indemnity reduces the potential cost of accident damage from £1,500 to £0 and is available to purchase for £10. Accident Damage Indemnity can be purchased on the day of your Experience from the Silverstone Experience Centre.

Height, Weight, Age and Licence Restrictions

• Can I use my international driving licence?

  Yes as long as it is valid for required number of years, is a manual licence and can be presented on the day.

• Can I use my automatic driving licence?

  Unfortunately not, all of our experiences utilise manual vehicles.

• Are there are height restrictions for this experience?

  Height Requirements - 5ft 2ins - 6ft 4ins

• Are there any weight restrictions for this event?

  Maximum Weight - 16st

• How long should I have held my licence for and how old do I need to be to take this experience?

  Participants need to be aged 21 or over and have held a full driving licence for at least 3 years which must be presented on the day.

• Can my child do an experience?

  Unfortunately not. However Hot Rides and Silverstone Tours are both suitable for children. Over 13s can also participate in the Rookie Drive and Rookie Ride Experiences

Booking and Availability

• Can I change my date once it is booked?

  No, once time and date is confirmed they are final and cannot be changed.

• How do I find out the dates the experiences are running on?

  Please check the experience details section or please call 08443 728 270 – all dates are subject to availability.

• How do I pay for my ticket?

  We accept most major credit cards with the exception of American Express and Diners Club cards.

Voucher Information

• How do I purchase a voucher?

  Please purchase online or call 08443 728 270.

• How long is my voucher valid for?

  Thrill vouchers are valid for 6 months; open experiences and monetary vouchers are valid for 12 months.

• When should I book my open voucher?

  We recommend within 9 months from the date of purchase for better date availability. Varies per experience.

• What does Cancellation Indemnity cover me for?

  Cancellation indemnity allows participants to rearrange their experience date, once booked, for any unforeseen circumstance – such as illness, injury or breakdown which has to be proved by official document. It does not cover for double bookings, or personal commitments such as weddings or stag/hen parties. (Please see our Terms and Conditions for more details).

• What does Accident damage waiver cover me for?

  A: Accident Damage Waiver reduces the potential cost of accident damage from £1,500 to £0 (Please see our Terms and Conditions for more details)

Clothing and Attire

• Can I use my own helmet?

  Yes, subject to inspection by the instructor on the day.

• What do I need to wear?

  Clothing that covers your arms and legs and flat soled narrow shoes need to be worn on all experiences.

Photography

• Is there a photographer on the day?

  There is normally an official photographer on the day, however this cannot be guaranteed.

Directions, Spectator and Participation Information

• How do I get to Silverstone?

  Visit the Contact Us section for directions.

• Is it possible for disabled drivers to drive on the circuit?

  We have been able to accommodate most requests, however this is dependent on each individual situation. Please call 0844 3728 270 for more details.

• Can spectators come and watch?

  Yes, however if the date coinsides with a major event only one car pass will be issued for entry in to the circuit.

• How do I get to the Silverstone Experience Centre once I arrive at the circuit?

  Arrive at the main gate and the security will advise you.

• What happens if it rains?

  There is an automated weather phone line which is updated if there is a problem on the morning of your experience 0844 3728 207. Please phone this to check there are any problems before arriving at the circuit.

• What time do I need to arrive?

  At least 40 minutes before start time.

• Can I combine two experiences?

  Yes, depending on availability.

• Where can I purchase refreshments from?

  There is a coffee shop at the drive school selling coffees, soft drinks and hot and cold snacks.
