This is an experience like no other. This Ultimate Thrill gives you the chance to ride as a passenger with a professional in a custom-built two-seater at the world-famous Silverstone Circuit. Reaching speeds of up to 150mph, this 3.7 litre V6 Ford Cyclone powered tandem ride will knock your socks off – here at Silverstone we like to refer to it as simply ‘The Hypersonic'.

General Information

This unique two-seater, ‘The Hypersonic’, delivers a pure adrenalin rush, taking you from 0-60mph in just 3 seconds. This bespoke racing machine, especially designed and created by Fabrication Technique race engineers and weighing only 650kg, will take you as close as is possible to feeling the real racing conditions of your F1™ heroes. Piloted by a qualified driver, you’ll fly down the straights and feel the G-Force like a pro.

Driver Requirements

• Height Requirements: 4ft 6ins - 6ft 3ins
• Maximum Weight: 16st
• Driving Licence: Not required.
• Age restrictions: The Hypersonic has a minimum age of 10 years old and a maximum age of 70 years old

Height, Weight, Age and Licence Restrictions

• Do I need a driving licence?

  You do not need a license for this experience - you will just need to meet the height & weight restrictions.

• Are there any height restrictions for this experience?

  Height Requirements - 4ft 6ins - 6ft 3ins

• Are there any weight restrictions for this event?

  Maximum Weight - 16st

• How old do I need to be to take part in this experience?

  A license is not required and there are no age limitations. To take part you will just need to meet the height & weight requirements.

• Can my child do an experience?

  Yes. As long as they meet the height and weight requirements then they will be able to take part.

Booking and Availability

• Can I change my date once it is booked?

  No, once time and date is confirmed they are final and cannot be changed.

• How do I find out the dates the experiences are running on?

• How do I pay for my ticket?

  We accept most major credit cards with the exception of American Express and Diners Club cards.

Voucher Information

• How do I purchase a voucher?

• How long is my voucher valid for?

  Thrill vouchers are valid for 6 months.

• When should I book my open voucher?

  We recommend within 3 months from the date of purchase for better date availability.

• What does Cancellation Indemnity cover me for?

  Cancellation indemnity allows participants to rearrange their experience date, once booked, for any unforeseen circumstance – such as illness, injury or breakdown which has to be proved by official document. It does not cover for double bookings, or personal commitments such as weddings or stag/hen parties. (Please see our Terms and Conditions for more details).

Clothing and Attire

• Can I use my own helmet?

  Yes, subject to inspection by the instructor on the day.

• What do I need to wear?

  Clothing that covers your arms and legs and flat soled narrow shoes need to be worn on all experiences.

Photography

• Is there a photographer on the day?

  There is normally an official photographer on the day, however this cannot be guaranteed.

Directions, Spectator and Participation Information

• How do I get to Silverstone?

  Visit the Contact Us section for directions.

• Is it possible for disabled drivers to drive on the circuit?

  We have been able to accommodate most requests, however this is dependent on each individual situation. Please call 0844 3728 270 for more details.

• Can spectators come and watch?

  Yes, however if the date coinsides with a major event only one car pass will be issued for entry in to the circuit.

• How do I get to the Silverstone Experience Centre once I arrive at the circuit?

  Arrive at the main gate and the security will advise you.

• What happens if it rains?

  There is an automated weather phone line which is updated if there is a problem on the morning of your experience 0844 3728 207. Please phone this to check there are any problems before arriving at the circuit.

• What time do I need to arrive?

  At least 40 minutes before start time.

• Can I combine two experiences?

  Yes, depending on availability.

• Where can I purchase refreshments from?

  There is a coffee shop at the drive school selling coffees, soft drinks and hot and cold snacks.
