Getting about at the Formula 1 Santander British Grand Prix and Moto GP

If you find the walk around the circuit a bit too much or you need a little help getting to your viewing area, we do operate a buggy service at the information points. This is subject to availability.

Event Mobility

For our large promoted events (see below) we use a charitable company that specialise in providing a facility to assist the disabled, elderly and mobility impaired called Event Mobility. Event Mobility will be based in car park 50 which is also our main disabled car parking area. If you would like to book a scooter or a wheelchair for use at our promoted events then please contact them directly or click here to find out more. Please note there will be a cost incurred.

Ambulant Disabled

For those visitors, who find the journey or distances a bit more challenging then you can sit down for a break There are numerous seats/picnic tables located around the perimeter of the circuit that can be accessed easily by those persons using walking aids such as crutches, sticks or walking frames. Please note for bigger events such as the Formula 1 Santander British Grand Prix where it is particularly busy, you may want to bring fold up chairs or alternatives just in case.

Hospitality

Wheelchair accessible hospitality is available for all our promoted meetings please call 08443728 230 for details. Please note that all ticket sales are allocated on a first-come-first-served basis and whilst the cost of the PA entry is free there will be a food cost added.

Staff Training

So that we are better able to assist you all our staff have received Disability Awareness training. This is carried out on a regular basis.

Stewarding for Disabled Spectators

For our large events there is a dedicated body of stewards with particular responsibilities for offering assistance to disabled spectators will be deployed at all appropriate locations around the circuit. They have all undertaken specific disability awareness training.

Site Layout and Ground Conditions

The site is spread over 850 acres some of which are fields and grassed areas.. There are some hard-standing and tarmac areas together with stone paths and the site can be quite difficult to negotiate. The weather can have a massive impact on how easy it is for people to move around the site, so please take this into consideration when deciding on what equipment to bring with you. We do try to improve the terrain year on year but with the recent major works taking place on site we don’t always get it right.
