Whether you have just passed your test or have been driving for years, this course will give you a better understanding of road awareness and will teach you those all important life saving skills whilst having fun at the same time!

The day is split into 3 sessions, with each activity replicating scenarios that can be encountered on public roads.

Session 1 - Skid Control
Mounted on a computor controlled cradle, the skid car can simulate any condition from damp tarmac to sheet ice whilst allowing you to practice in perfect safety. With a qualified instructor by your side, you will be given two opportunities in the skid control environment. The first session will teach you the art of recognising and correcting skid scenarios, master under and oversteer and experience downhill ice and aquaplaning. The second session will require you to put these skills into practice as the cradle will deliver a variety of different scenarios for you to control.

Session 2 - Vehicle Dynamics
Vehicle Dynamics is a combination of low and high speed activities replicating everyday driving. In a Renault Clio 200 Cup car, the session will allow you to appreciate the various control systems and how they assist you in risky situations. Exercises include; avoidance and emergency braking (anti-lock braking), cornering and roundabouts (dynamic stability control), pulling away from junctions and high speed lane changes (traction control) and high speed braking and acceleration.

Session 3 - Road Drive
Aimed to improve your skill in defensive driving, the road drive exercise in a Megane Renault Sport 250 is designed to maximise your road awareness. By the end of the session you can drive home safe in the knowledge that you can tackle any potential hazard and will change the way you look at roads forever.

Choose either a morning or afternoon course with refreshments all day and a two course lunch included in both. There are 18 places available on each course, split into 3 teams of 6 for each activity. You can book a single place, a team of 6 or the whole course.

Accident Damage Waiver
Accident Damage Waiver reduces the potential cost of accident damage from £1,500 to £0 and is available to purchase for £20pp + VAT. This waiver can be purchased at the time of booking or via the Event Manager prior to the event or on the day.
