At 7.25pm on Saturday it's Toseland's turn to perform. If the name might seem familiar it is because Toseland are a band fronted by double world superbike champion James Toseland. Throughout his career as a motorbike racer, music has been central to James life – so much so that he performed live at BBC’s Sports Personality Of the Year. When James was forced to retire through injury a journey into music started … Toseland have already forged themselves a name as a powerful live act. 2013 saw them cross the country with a series of headline shows, supports (to Reef) and festival dates (Download, Planet Rockstock and the 2013 Moto GP at Silverstone).
Racing Glaciers, the 5-piece from Macclesfield, was originally conceived as a one-off collaboration.
2014 has been a life-changing summer for the band. They have played on festival stages across the country, played a packed out support slot at Shepherd’s Bush Empire to thousands of screaming new fans & honed their live sound to a point where they are ready to tour Europe this Autumn.
Always excited about trying new things, the band decided it was time to bring in an external producer for their third EP, Don’t Wait For Me. Jolyon Thomas, having worked with Daughter, Sigur Ros and M83 in the past, has helped to craft the spacious stadium sound that the band have always strived for.
