Ron Haslam Race School

New to Silverstone, the Ron Haslam Race School offers expert bike tuition. Run by racing legend 'Rocket' Ron Haslam, whether it's a complete introduction to performance bikes or more intense instruction there is a programme to suit all needs.

On Track Experience - Age 12+£189 pp

Aimed at novice motorbike riders of all ages, the Ron Haslam On-Track experience is the perfect starting point to riding performance motorcycles. Whether you have just started out, returning to motorcycling, or just want to improve your ability – this course not only deals with road and track skills but it also offers additional training on cornering and braking techniques.

    Price includes:
  • Hire of all leathers, boots, gloves helmets and wetsuits
  • Hire of the motorcycle
  • Instruction on a 2:1 basis (two participants per instructor)
  • Damage and personal accident insurance
    Rider Requirements
  • CBR 125 minimum age - 12 years*
  • CBF 500A minimum age - 14 years*
  • Experience - Clutch and gears experience
  • A licence is not required, however, the participant must not hold any dangerous driving convictions
Premier Experience£289 pp

Using the more powerful Honda 2011 CBR 600RR ABS, this package is designed to give you a greater knowledge of riding techniques and capabilities. With more track time and intense tuition compared to the On-Track experience, the Premier package is personalised to each rider and guarantees to improve your riding skills, overall ability and confidence in braking, cornering and body position – building the pace with every riding session.

    Price includes:
  • Hire of all leathers, boots, gloves helmets and wetsuits
  • Hire of the motorcycle
  • Instruction on a 2:1 basis (two participants per instructor)
  • Damage and personal accident insurance
    Rider Requirements
  • Age - From 18 years*
  • Experience - Competent clutch and gears
  • Riding licence: - Partcipants do not require a licence for this experience however must have rode or be currently riding a similar cc motorcycle regularly and not have any dangerous driving convictions
Elite Package

Also available is the Elite package, using the CBR1000RR Fireblade. This package is only available to those who have successfully completed the Premier Package within the last two years. Itinerary

Your Riding Experience will include:

  • 8am sign on and kit up
  • 20 minute briefing by a qualified instructor
  • 40 minutes circuit time between 9am and 9.40am
  • Debrief and certificate presentation
  • Advanced Paddock tuition
  • Course finished approx. 12pm

  • Third session on circuit, approx. 15 minutes
  • Debrief, assessment and certificate presentation
