Junior Driving Experiences – Rookie Driving Days at Silverstone

Rookie Drive - Level 1 Master Control £50 pp.

If you’re itching to get in the driving seat but haven’t got a provisional licence then now’s your chance. New to Silverstone for 2010, our Junior Drive Experience provides you with the ultimate driving initiation. As you take to our tarmac handling pad in the sporty Renault Clio 200 Cup you will learn the fundamentals of driving from our experienced instructors.

You will master the art of clutch control, gain familiarisation with gears, learn how to pull away and navigate around those all important obstacles. After you have completed this first level you will be set to come back again and participate in the next level of this experience - coming soon to Silverstone.

Driver Requirements

Age - From 13 years*
Height Requirements - 4ft 10ins - 6ft 3ins
Maximum Weight - 18st
Driving license: - Partcipants do not require a licence for this experience

Cancellation Indemnity

Please note that Cancellation Indemnity can be purchased for £10.

Accident Damage Indemnity

Accident Damage Indemnity reduces the potential cost of accident damage from £1,500 to £0 and is available to purchase for £10. Accident Damage Indemnity can be purchased on the day of your Experience from the Silverstone Experience Centre.

Itinerary

2 hours on a 1 instructor per 3 basis at Silverstone

Welcome on arrival
Briefing by a qualified advanced driving instructor
Event time: 2 hours – on a 1 instructor per 3 basis
Students will have 25 minutes drive time each and will be present in the vehicle throughout the experience
Debrief
Certificate presentation (grade - pass or not pass)

Circuit: Purpose-built tarmac handling area
