British Grand Prix ticket sales up 100%
- ‘Loyalty’ offer available until 17:00hrs, Monday 08 July
- ‘Early Bird’ prices from Tuesday 09 July
Following one of the best and most dramatic British Grands Prix in recent years, F1 fans have been quick off the mark to book their tickets for next year’s event. Silverstone has announced that first week ticket sales for the 2014 FORMULA 1 SANTANDER BRITISH GRAND PRIX are up 100% compared with the same sales period in 2012, with Richard Phillips, Managing Director of Silverstone Circuits Limited, putting the uptake down to the success of this year’s Grand Prix and the circuit’s ‘Loyalty Offer’, presenting savings of up to £68.
The new-for-2013 ‘Loyalty Offer’, which was extremely popular amongst fans attending this year’s Grand Prix, will remain available until 17:00hrs on Monday 08 July. After this time, tickets will go on sale at ‘Early Bird’ prices.
Phillips commented: “The British Grand Prix was back to its best this year and the fans’ experience has translated into early interest and ticket sales. On-event sales were up 50% (compared with 2012) over the weekend and that interest has continued to grow. We are now 100% up on the same period last year, with a number of the best seats already sold out. The front rows in both International Pits Straight and Club grandstands, for example, have already been snapped up and others are selling fast.
“The strong sales are undoubtedly down to the success of this year’s Grand Prix, which was one of the biggest and best in recent years, and the incentive to book early and make the most of our ‘Loyalty’ and ‘Early Bird’ offers.”
