Silverstone Circuit helps raise money for The Prince’s Trust
-Three ways to help raise money for The Prince’s Trust
-Organised by 10 of the Silverstone team as part of the ‘Million Makers’ Corporate Challenge
A group of staff at Silverstone Circuit in Northamptonshire are participating in The Prince's Trust Corporate Challenge, ‘Million Makers’. ‘Million Makers’ is a national competition which challenges teams of employees to raise as much money as possible.
The money raised from this competition helps The Prince’s Trust to make a real difference to the lives of disadvantaged young people across Northamptonshire and the UK. The Silverstone team has developed three ways for members of the public to help support this great cause:
•12 Days of Christmas Online Auction – some truly amazing money-can’t-buy experiences and items, all themed around Silverstone and the sporting world will be available to purchase via an online auction. The auction will begin on 24 November and end on 12 December. For a full list of the auction items please visit: http://www.silverstone.co.uk/princestrust
•Your Face, Our Podium – this unique opportunity allows the public to become part of Silverstone history during the 2014 race season, as the Silverstone Wing podium backdrop is transformed using fans’ photographs. With limited space available, make sure you’re part of this exclusive opportunity and help raise money for charity.
•Text to donate or add a donation online – if you would like to donate, but do not want to take part in any of the above, please text ‘SVPT99’ and your donation amount (e.g. ‘£5’) to 70070. Those purchasing tickets and experiences via our contact centre, or online, are also able to add a donation of £1 to their transaction.
Richard Philips, Managing Director of Silverstone Circuits, commented: “I am very proud of the team here at Silverstone who have worked well together to come up with this initiative and successfully pitched the idea to The Princes Trust. I am confident they will make a success of the ‘Million Makers’ challenge and raise a significant amount of money that will help turn the lives around of many young people in the UK.”
