Webber wins in Brazil

Red Bull Racing's Mark Webber wins in Brazil, with his team-mate, Sebastian Vettel second and McLaren's Jenson Button third.

Red Bull Racing's Mark Webber won at Interlagos today, venue for the F1 2011 Brazilian Grand Prix, the 19th and final round of the season.

Webber took the lead around mid-distance, when his team-mate, Sebastian Vettel had to yield due to gearbox problems. He eventually finished 16.9 seconds up on on the sister car, in the process claiming his first win of the season and the seventh of his career. Vettel hung on to take the runners-up spot, despite having to short shift through much of the event.

McLaren's Jenson Button meanwhile came back and having slipped behind Fernando Alonso in the opening phase of the grand prix, passed the Spaniard on lap 62 for third. Behind, Felipe Massa was fifth in the second Ferrari, performing some donuts at the end to entertain his home fans - something that is likely to earn him a slap on the wrists.

Adrian Sutil rounded out the top six for Force India, ahead of the Mercedes of Nico Rosberg and the second FIF1 of Paul di Resta. Sauber's Kamui Kobayashi and Renault man Vitaly Petrov completed the points' scorers in ninth and tenth.
