Silverstone Circuit become a partner of Arden-backed Young Racing Driver Academy
The Young Racing Driver Academy (YRDA) is delighted to announce its partnership with Silverstone, the premier motor-racing destination in the UK and one of the most historic circuits in the World.
As well as the Formula 1 British Grand Prix, Silverstone hosts world-class events including The British Motorcycle Grand Prix (MotoGP), British Superbikes, British Touring Cars, and the World Endurance Championship. Silverstone also has a dedicated race school.
The YRDA was launched at the official Silverstone GP3 test in early April 2013 year. It is the first of several academies to be launched by The Business of Sport (TBOS), a leading sports management consultancy. The YRDA’s aim is to identify and develop young racing driver talent and provide comprehensive mentoring, marketing and management support to assist each driver in maximising his or her potential.
The link between the YRDA and Silverstone will provide an unrivalled opportunity for the young drivers on the YRDA programme to develop their on track skills, and gain first-hand knowledge and experience of a circuit on which they all hope to race in the future.
Jamie Horner, CEO of The Business of Sport:
“We are delighted to link up with Silverstone, the home of British motor racing. We have shared vision for the development of the next generation of British racing drivers and exciting times lie ahead.”
Richard Phillips, Managing Director of Silverstone Circuit:
We are supportive of any initiative that helps nurture young racing talent as it is extremely important we future proof the success of British motorsport. We are very happy to work with Arden and support the YRDA. We look forward to welcoming these talented individuals to Silverstone in the near future.comments powered by Disqus
