If you are staying in the local area in a hotel, guest house or on one of the campsites around Silverstone and do not require circuit parking, your event ticket will allow you access on foot through the checkpoints during the race weekend.

Circuit Parking Prices:
Sunday, Race Day £25
Saturday Qualifying £15
Friday Practice Free
Three Day £35

Car Park passes are available subject to availability. One car park pass may be purchased per two-four admission tickets bought, at the discretion of Silverstone, i.e. 2-4 tickets purchased = 1 car pass; 5-8 tickets = 2 car passes, etc. If only one British Grand Prix ticket is purchased, one of the alternative options must be selected.

Please note failure to display a valid pass will result in a civil parking notice. Camping is not permitted in any of the car parks.

TAXIS

As in past years, there will be taxi and private hire vehicle dropping off and collection points near the 'Royal Oak' public house on Brackley Road.

There have been complaints of over-charging in the past, and as a result, the council's licensing officers have had a meeting with local private hire operators and taxi drivers. Private hire fares are not set by the local council. However, customers should not expect to pay more than about £35 for a journey from Silverstone to Banbury, or Northampton, or Milton Keynes. Notices will be displayed to this effect near the 'Royal Oak'.

There is only one taxi licensed in South Northamptonshire - a silver coloured Mercedes Vaneo. If you see any others in the area, they are either illegally plying for hire or waiting for a customer who has pre-booked a journey. You should not get into a taxi or private hire vehicle without having pre-booked it, as the driver will be uninsured and you may be at risk.
