A group at Silverstone are participating in the Prince's Trust Corporate Challenge called Million Makers. Million Makers is a national competition challenging teams of employees to raise as much money as possible.
The money raised from this competition helps the Prince’s Trust to make a real difference to the lives of disadvantaged young people across Northamptonshire and UK.
We will be staging three events in the three weeks on the run up to the 2012 FORMULA 1 SANTANDER BRITISH GRAND PRIX to support this great cause. The campaign is called: ‘3, 2, 1’, a countdown to F1™.
Those three events are as follows:
Online Auction – The Auction has now closed! Thanks to everyone for their generosity - we made a grand total of £14,196!
Fun Run – Walk, run, cycle, skate or scoot around the Grand Prix track. It was a great evening at the Fun Run and lovely to see so many people come from far and wide! We made a fantastic £2250 - thanks to all who came and supported us
‘Senna’ screening – On the Thursday before the Formula One cars take to the track we will relive the life of the great Ayrton Senna. You won’t get another opportunity to watch this BAFTA award winning film in a more relevant place, in front of the Silverstone Wing on the Grand Prix track.
