The New Grand Prix Circuit development has now been completed. Work to improve spectator facilities continues as part of a multi-million pound investment to modernise Silverstone.
The new circuit will host a number of world class events in 2010, including the FORMULA 1 SANTANDER BRITISH GRAND PRIX on 09-11 July, and MotoGP and World Superbike motorcycle racing on 18-20 June and 31 July - 01 August respectively. However, the first major international event to test out the new circuit will be the Silverstone Supercar featuring the FIA GT1 World Championship, on 01-02 May.

The new Grand Prix Circuit was launched on the 29th April 2010. As part of the launch ceremony, His Royal Highness the Duke of York, helped to inaugurate the new 3.66 mile circuit in the passenger seat of the Santander two-seat Grand Prix car driven by former World Champion, and President of the BRDC, Damon Hill OBE. On track at the same time were F1 driver-turned broadcaster David Coulthard, driving a Red Bull Formula One car, and the motorcycling father-and-son combination of Ron and Leon Haslam, representing the worlds of MotoGP and World Superbikes.

New Stowe Complex Launch - Thursday 03 June 2010
Work on Silverstone’s new Pit and Paddock Complex is well underway as development around the iconic Northamptonshire circuit continues at a pace. The circuit’s brand new Stowe Complex – a unique collection of customer focused test track facilities, hospitality units and pit garages – has also been officially opened this week (Thursday 03 June).
Richard Phillips, Managing Director of Silverstone Circuits Limited, said: “These new facilities, and the redevelopment of Silverstone at large, will provide a venue where all forms of automotive and motor sport events can be celebrated in style.
