I haven’t received the email telling me my options, what should I do?
If you haven’t received an email explaining your ticket(s) preference options please don’t worry. In order to ensure we can process your requests as quickly as possible these emails are being sent out in stages. All ticket holders should receive this email by 22/05/2020. Please ensure that events@email.silverstone.co.uk is an address recognised as a safe address in your inbox and check your spam folders. If it has reached this date and you have not received this email please contact a member of the team who will be back in touch.

I haven’t received my refund?

We’re Conscious that some customers haven’t received a refund as quickly as we hoped. Unfortunately due to technical requirements and authorisation processes, along with the number of transactions being processed, some customers have been experiencing a delay. We would like to assure all customers who requested a refund that their request has been received.

Can I transfer my 2020 ticket(s) to 2021?
Of course, we can’t wait to welcome you to Silverstone in 2021. We will be sending out emails to all ticket holders within the next two weeks which will give you all the details you need on how to request your transfer. Thank you for your patience while we put this process in place.

Can I get a refund on my order?
Whilst we’ll be sad not to see you at the Formula 1 British Grand Prix 2021 of course we can arrange a refund for your order. We will be sending out emails to all ticket holders within the next two weeks which will give you all the details you need on how to request a refund or transfer. Thank you for your patience while we put this process in place.

I have requested to transfer my ticket(s) should I receive a confirmation email?

It’s great to hear that you have transferred your ticket(s). Please don’t worry if you have not received an email to confirm this, your order will match entirely with a new email confirmation sent out this summer once all transfers have been completed. We look forward to welcoming you in 2021.

I have requested to refund my ticket(s) should I receive a confirmation email?

You will not receive an email at the point of selection, once the refund has been carried out and your booking cancelled on our system an email will be automated to you. This may take a few weeks, please bear with us as we process these requests.

I opted to refund my ticket(s) but I’ve changed my mind, what can I do?

If you opted for a refund and want to change your mind prior to the 01/07/2020 please contact a member of the team who will be able to look into this for you. Unfortunately we are unable to reinstate tickets after the 01/07/2020 however you will be able to purchase a new ticket for 2021 once these are released.

What is the value of my refund?
You can rest assured that you will receive a full refund to mirror the value paid to SCL at the time of booking and as verified on your email confirmation.

How long will it take to get my refund?
We aim to complete all straightforward refunds within three months of request. We’ll be sending out emails within the next two weeks which will give full details on how to request a refund or transfer. Thank you for your patience while we put this process in place.

Can I get a refund on only part of my order?
Yes, we will be sending out emails to all ticket holders within the next two weeks, this will give the full details on how to request a refund or transfer for all or part of your order. Thank you for your patience while we put this process in place. To make changes to part of your order please contact a member of the team and we’ll be back in touch to arrange this for you.

My card has expired / is no longer held since making my booking, what should I do?
Don’t worry, if you have selected to refund your ticket(s) our system will flag if the card has expired/cancelled and our team will be in touch over the next few weeks to help with the refund transaction. 

I will not be able to attend the 2021 event, can I transfer to 2022?
Unfortunately we are unable to offer transfers to 2022 and beyond. We will be sending out emails to all ticket holders in the next two weeks with full details on how to request a refund or transfer. Thank you for your patience while we put this process in place.

I bought child ticket(s) and my child will be an adult in 2021 – if I transfer to next year, what should I do?

We look forward to welcoming you in 2021. Please follow the links in your email to request to transfer your current booking. We will transfer your child ticket(s) to ensure these are valid for 2021.

I wish to keep my ticket(s), but can I get an upgrade for 2021?

Thank you for making the decision to transfer your ticket(s) to 2021, to make any amends or upgrades to your ticket(s) please contact a member of the team who will be back in touch.
I have received my ticket(s) for 2020, do I need to return them?
If you have received your ticket(s) for 2020 you do not need to worry about returning them, if you choose to transfer you will be issued with a new ticket for 2021.

I didn’t buy directly from Silverstone, can I get a refund?
You should still be entitled to refund, you will need to contact the supplier of your ticket.

What if I booked camping with my ticket(s)?
If you booked camping with your ticket(s) and choose to transfer your booking to the Formula 1 British Grand Prix 2021 then your camping booking will be transferred also. If you choose to refund your ticket(s) the price paid for camping will be included in your refund.

I wish to amend/add to my order – is this possible?
Of course our team are happy to help. We ask that you contact us in mid-July when we hope to launch general sales for 2021. We can then check whether items are available following all refunds and transfers and process updates to your bookings.

What if I booked in a group, my friends want their ticket(s) but I don’t want mine?
We can look into this for you, please contact a member of the team who will be back in touch to investigate your request.

What if I won my ticket(s) as part of a competition with Silverstone?
Your ticket(s) will automatically be transferred to the Formula 1 British Grand Prix 2021.

What if I change my mind on my decision after 1st July 2020?
In order to process your ticket(s) preference we ask that you complete your decision questionnaire by the 01/07/2020. If you choose to request a refund on your Formula 1 Pirelli British Grand Prix 2020 ticket(s) you will be able to purchase a ticket for the 2021 race once these are released. If you choose to transfer your ticket(s) then your booking for the 2021 race remains in place.

When are 2021 tickets going on sale?
We hope to release tickets for the Formula 1 British Grand Prix 2021 this summer. Stay tuned to the Silverstone website and check you’re signed up to our newsletters to receive all the latest announcements.

I transferred my ticket(s) but what if I can’t make the 2021 Formula 1 British Grand Prix when the dates are released?

It’s great to hear that you would like to transfer your tickets. We hope to welcome you next year however we must work to a provisional date as we are part of an international calendar. Unfortunately we are unable to offer a refund after the 1st July 2020, in the instance that you may no longer attend the ticket(s) may be used by your friends and family.

I have been given a discount code, where can I use this?
The discount code can be used at the Silverstone Gift Shop, for Drive Experience vouchersTour vouchers and our new visitor attraction The Silverstone Experience museum. The code is valid until 1st July 2020.

When will Key Workers be offered tickets for the 2021 race?

We know many fans are keen to get involved in our Key Worker ticket giveaway for 2021. Rest assured there will be enough time to do this in the near future. Keep an eye on our social channels or sign up to our newsletter where you’ll see details for how to get involved.

  • COVID-19

    The Coronavirus pandemic is evolving daily. The Government has also advised everyone to avoid gatherings and crowded places. Further official advice around avoiding unnecessary social contact is now particularly important for the over-70s, people with underlying health conditions and pregnant women.

  • Which events are currently postponed at Silverstone and what happens now?

    Motorsport’s national governing bodies for four-wheel racing, Motorsport UK, and two wheels, the ACU and MCRCB, announced suspension of all race meetings until 30th April. As a result, the following events are postponed:

    British Automobile Racing Club (21st-22nd March)

    Caterham – British Racing Sports Car Club (21st– 22nd March)

    MG Car Club (28th March)

    Bennetts British Superbikes Media Day (1st– 2nd April)

    British Motorcycle Racing Club – BEMSEE (3rd – 5th April)

    750 Motor Club (4th – 5th April)

    Bennetts British Superbike Championship (10th – 12th April)

    Formula Vintage by The Vintage Sports Car Club (18th – 19th April)

    Caterham – British Racing Sports Car Club (18th – 19th April)

    Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship (25th – 26th April)

    All ticket purchased for these events will be valid for the rescheduled date. We’ll keep you updated and can only look forward to returning to ‘business as usual’ as soon as it is safe to do so.

  • Is my driving experience still going ahead?

    Following the Government’s Coronavirus latest advice Silverstone has taken the decision to postpone Drive Experiences up until 15th June. As you’ll appreciate, with the fluidity of the Coronavirus pandemic, we’re not able to let you know future dates at the moment. Please don’t worry, we’re working around the clock and will give you plenty of time to reschedule your Drive Experience. We will be in touch directly as soon as we can.

  • Is my Silverstone Tour still going ahead?

    Following the Government’s Coronavirus latest advice Silverstone has taken the decision to postpone Silverstone Tours up until 15th June. As you’ll appreciate, with the fluidity of the Coronavirus pandemic, we’re not able to let you know future dates at the moment. Please don’t worry, we’re working around the clock and will give you plenty of time to reschedule your Tour Experience. We will be in touch directly as soon as we can.

  • I have a car / bike track day booked, is it still on?

    If we have to postpone any of our track days we’ll email you, and as soon as they are rescheduled will be back in touch.

  • Is The Silverstone Experience still open?

    As part of the preventative measures taken by the Government to delay the spread of the Coronavirus, the decision has been taken by Silverstone Heritage Ltd (the charity that runs The Silverstone Experience) to temporarily close the museum to the public from 6pm on Wednesday 18 March. The health and welfare of its staff, volunteers and visitors is its priority. While they are currently unable to say when they will re-open, we expect the closure will last until at least 1 May.

    Customers with an existing booking will be contacted and should check the website for the latest opening information. If you have booked a gift ticket for another person please contact them immediately as we do not hold their contact details.

  • What happens if any events I have booked are cancelled by Silverstone?

    We are continuing to review plans for future events in the calendar. We hope to go ahead as planned, but with this ever changing situation we’re monitoring and adapting daily. Where possible events will be postponed and rescheduled to a later date if they are unable to go ahead on the published date. Please make sure you check back on our website for all the latest updates.

  • Is it safe to visit Silverstone?

    The health and safety of visitors and team at Silverstone is our number one priority. Silverstone is adhering to the advice of Government, World Health Organisation and Public Health England with a daily review. We have implemented precautionary measures in line with this advice and will adapt these if advice changes.
