What people think of staying at Woodlands Campsite is vitally important to us. We regularly conduct surveys to gauge opinions and help us improve what we offer. We get lots of people returning and lots of positive comments.

Marc Potter (MCN Editor): “The campsite had the atmosphere of a festival, the bands drew massive crowds, the facilities were spot-on, there were plenty of TV screens and loads of entertainment to keep us all amused. Friends who took children said even they had a fantastic weekend and I know from experience that bike racing isn’t always kiddie friendly.”

A. Antrobus: “The Woodlands Campsite and its’ toilets and showers were superb and spotless. My friends and I are really impressed with all the work and improvements that are going on. Please pass on our thanks to all the staff.”

M and V Smith: “Praise has to be given to the amazing upgrade that is going on with the Woodlands Campsite. Events sometimes forget that the camping is a major part of the whole experience; the entertainment and food concessions were well placed, well priced and it was good to see that they were well patronised. Today I have booked the time off for next year’s event.”

What’s on offer?

Open from midday Wednesday, ‘The Petrol Head’ serves all that you would expect from your on-site local, from ice cold lager to a selection of real ales served straight from the barrel. Everyone loves their local and ours already has a few stories to tell, including two marriage proposals!

As well as delicious food stalls, there’s a fine mix of artisan street-food and the firm old favourites: quality pies, bacon butties and pizza, to Wagyu beef and delicious gourmet burgers! If you’d like a little more luxury, then head over to one of our two sit down restaurants: Frank’s Steakhouse and the Indian Curry House. The famous Steakhouse is open for cooked-to-order breakfasts in the morning and dinner in the late afternoon… all served on china plates! If steak’s not your thing, then why not pop over to the Curry House for a treat… who doesn’t love a Ruby Murry!

There’s plenty for families to do at Silverstone Woodlands: family treasure hunt, kid’s comedy club (with a Comedian, Musical Act and Magician), gaming stands with Radio Controlled cars, a family bar so parents can relax with kids close by, even live music on the Family campsite stage… and let’s face it, camping as a family is almost fun enough!

Woodlands have a fleet of Campsite Shuttles that run throughout the campsite to help campers get about. Typically shuttles run from Friday – Sunday, 7am – 7pm, but please check information on-site as times may vary. Look out for the green tractors or our big green bus, they’re hard to miss!

Whether you’re into live bands or DJs, comedy or talks, there’s something for everyone, every night. There is even kid’s entertainment in the Family campsite. Keep your eyes peeled – there may even be the odd celebrity appearance or two…

There will be a variety of trade stands tempting you with a bargain: Official merchandise, sunglasses, F1 paraphernalia, a Petrol Head T-shirt, F1 inspired artworks and much more!

Woodlands will be screening live sport, race highlights and a selection of films on their big screens throughout the event.

The Craft Beer Village is coming back to Silverstone Woodlands.

Breweries from around the world will be showcasing their beers in amazing themed venues. Brooklyn Brewery and Erdinger amongst others are going to be there and will be bringing some amazing artists to the Craft Beer stage.

Don’t worry if Craft Beer isn’t your thing, there’s lots of variety at the campsite’s other venues; from real ale in The Petrol Head to bubbly in the Champagne Bar.

There’ll be a few carefully selected fun fair rides on-site for you to enjoy; child or adult who doesn’t like playing!

  • Toilet and Shower Blocks

We have two large purpose built toilet and shower facilities. These buildings have toilets and vanity sinks with both hot and cold water. The showers have piping hot water and during large events work on a token system that means everyone gets the same time in the shower – tokens are given to all on entry. There are also exterior sinks with hot water so that you can easily do your washing up. We’re very proud of our toilet and shower blocks – we only had them built in 2011! We have teams of cleaners working to keep them looking good!

  • The Petrol Head

The Petrol Head serves all that you would expect from your on-site local, from ice cold lager to a selection of real ales served straight from the barrel. Everyone loves coming to the local and it’s already got a few stories to tell – including two marriage proposals! We try and have it open for all events, large or small, and put some sort of entertainment on – even if it’s just a pub quiz hosted by Quiz Master Big Mac.

  • Campsite shop

The Silverstone Woodlands Campsite Shop sells all your essential basics: milk, bread, sausages, papers, cigarettes etc. and at larger events it has a wider selection for you to choose from. Sometimes the shop is hosted in a porta-cabin and sometimes in a marquee but either way we aim to cater for all of your needs.

  • Complimentary shuttle service

At larger events we have a fleet of Campsite Shuttles that run throughout the campsite helping campers get about. Shuttles are either tractors pulling personnel trailers (as pictured) or our big green bus. Typically shuttles run from 7am – 7pm but please check information on-site as times may vary from event to event.

  • Motorbike compound

For most events we operate a motorbike compound. Bikes and bikers are given wristbands and are checked in and out of the compound. In this way we hope to avoid motorbikes getting damaged or stolen as has happened at other camping venues where motorbikes have been allowed on-site.

  • Evening entertainment

Whatever you like, whatever your age, we aim to offer something for everyone at Silverstone Woodlands. From chilled out acoustic guitarists in our on-site pub to racing radio controlled cars at one of our trade stands, we try to make staying on-site as fun as possible.

  • Why camp at Silverstone Woodlands?

Simply because it’s a great camping experience! We’ve been providing camping at Silverstone for over 20 years now so we know what you all expect from a campsite! In 2010 we teamed up with Silverstone Circuit to bring you a superior camping experience that bears the Silverstone brand; we are Silverstone’s Official Campsite.

At Silverstone Woodlands, our core values are simple: to offer the best possible camping experience to motorsport fans. You’ve had a great day watching the racing; you should come back to a comfortable, well delivered campsite in the evening… it’s a simple idea really.

We believe the experience doesn’t have to stop when you leave the circuit at the end of each day! With so much happening on the official campsite we hope you’ll walk away talking about how much you enjoyed the racing but also what a great time you had on the campsite.

We think you should get more for your money; quality for a fair price is the name of the game. Our campsite facilities are second to none, from purpose built permanent toilets and showers to high quality catering outlets and amazing evening entertainment at larger events. We provide it all!

  • Can I bring my car onto site? Where are cars parked?

We aim to have cars parked next to pitches. In the event of bad weather, or for different reasons, you may have to park your car away from your pitch. If this is the case we will try and make the distance between your car and your pitch as short as possible (within reason). Please keep an eye on our event specific website page and our Facebook page for updated information.

  • Can i bring my motorcycle onto site?

Event dependent. We adopt a ‘no bikes on-site’ policy for most events. We have a secure bike compound for all motorcycles. We don’t want anyone to have their bike stolen or tampered with so drop them into our secure compound on arrival and we’ll look after them until you leave. This rule applies to all motorcycles, quad bikes and trikes alike.

Please bear with us, the website is currently undergoing maintenance but we expect to be back online shortly. Thank you for your patience.
