Main stage live music concerts

Throughout the weekend you will be able to enjoy live acts and entertainment on Friday, Saturday and Sunday on the main stage.

On Friday 24 August, the opening night of the British Grand Prix weekend, Brainscape will take to the stage. During their 15-year career, Brainscape have entertained crowds the worldwide. Predominantly a rock covers act, they exude energy on stage led by a great front man, fantastic vocal harmonies and a very tight sound.

This year’s headliner, Plan B will take to the stage on the evening of Saturday 25 August.  The award-winning hip-hop and soul artist, will be performing tracks from all of his four albums including the latest Heaven Before All Hell Breaks Loose.

Sunday evening’s live music entertainment will be provided by RPJ Band. Rick Parfitt Jnr is joined by some of the best session musicians in the country, all of which tour with major artists. Together over the last 10 years they have earned their reputation as the best, most engaging, uplifting, foot stomping, hands in the air rock band to ever grace the event market.

 

Entertainment & Manufacturer Zone

You won’t be short of things to do in the Entertainment & Manufacturer Zone, located next to the main stage. We’ve got a wide range of activities available and more manufacturers on site than ever before! Here is a taste of what you can expect:

Activities include:

  • Zorbs
  • Football Darts
  • Segways
  • And so much more!

All activities are charged at an individual rate.

 

 

Manufacturers Area

The Manufacturers Zone is next to the main stage and here’s what you can expect:

Aprilia, Yamaha, Suzuki, Triumph, KTM and Kawasaki will all have their latest model line-up for you to drool over and try for size.

Triumph will also have its new Moto2 bike 0n display on the GoPro stand.

Ducati Village

This year Ducati is located behind the Luffield Grandstand in its own village area, where as well as the latest model line-up it will have a bike simulator and the new ‘My First Ducati Experience’. Little bikers can pick their ride of choice from Peg Perego’s Ducati licenced ride-on toy range.

Kids aged 2-10 (approx) can try the exciting Ducati Range and all abilities are welcome, as the ‘My First Ducati Experience’ features an area for beginners and an additional area for the more experienced.

PLUS, there’s also a competition to win the official MotoGP videogame!

 

Oset Bike Interactive Zone

If it’s interactivity you’re after, head to the Oset Bike Interactive Zone… we have something for all ages.

Oset Electric Bikes – (free activity for kids 4–12). Come and try one then watch the Oset Dynamos demo team.

Extreme Wheelie – just £10 (for grown ups). Why not enter the world of EXTREME WHEELIE and brace yourself for the ride of your life.

Suzuki ‘Get On’ – try a bike free of charge!

 

Sunday track walk (ONCE ALL OF THE RACING HAS FINISHED)

Stick around to enjoy our track walk on Sunday evening from 17:00 – 18:00.

At 17:00, once all of the racing has finished, barriers to the circuit will be flung open allowing race fans to enter the track and celebrate the biggest race on British soil. Pick up some rubber marbles, place your hands on the circuit, it really is an experience not to be missed!

Signs for access points are displayed on the relevant gates around the venue.

Pleasure flights

Have you ever wondered what Silverstone Circuit would look like from the air? Pleasure Flights will be operating on Friday and Saturday*. Visit the Pleasure Flight base at the Heliport by Hangar Straight for more information.

For further details simply go to the heliport on the day.

Plus, the British Army will be here in full force

If you have an interest in seeking a challenge, adventure or training you can find out more about Army life.

Local soldiers will also be talking to visitors and answering questions about their roles in the Army Reserves and Regular Army.

Why not come and sit in the cockpit and see the view of an Army Air Corps Pilot and come and have a chat with the ground crew.

BT Sport at Silverstone

MotoGP broadcaster BT Sport will be making the Silverstone MotoGP round something special for the home round by showing almost 26 hours of live filming from one of the season’s fastest tracks.

The television action begins bright and early on BT Sport One at 8.45am on Friday morning and runs all the way through to 4.15pm that day. At 7pm a full hour long show hosted by Suzi Perry, Colin Edwards, Neil Hodgson and Gavin Emmett will be broadcast live from the Woodlands Campsite.

On Saturday, the action starts at 8.55am and continues through to 5.15pm to cover all of the practice and qualifying sessions with Sunday’s raceday thrills launching at 10.30am with morning warm-up and running all of the way through to 5.15pm. This will include BT Sport’s James Toseland hosting a special live broadcast of ‘The Chequered Flag’ show at 3.30pm on Sunday.

You can be among the first in the world to see the all-new Triumph Motorcycles Moto2 racing bike as it takes to the track at the Silverstone MotoGP event with former racer and BT Sport host James Toseland showing the bike off on the famous Silverstone circuit.

The Triumph Moto2 bike will be out on track on Sunday at around 3.05pm* with Toseland heading out for a hot lap on the new three-cylinder racing bike.

 

Two Wheels for Life

The official charity of MotoGP™ Two Wheels for Life, will once again take centre stage at the GoPro British Grand Prix on Saturday 25 August.

Two Wheels for Life will be hosting a live auction on the main stage in the entertainment zone giving racing fans the opportunity to get their hands on unique motorcycle memorabilia from the stars of MotoGP™.

Two Wheels for Life hold fundraising events around the world to help raise money for programmes that enable healthcare to reach rural communities in Africa with reliable transport systems. They are the official charity of MotoGP™ and the FIM and with their support we are able to run unique events for motor racing fans.

Whether it’s an exclusive Paddock Experience in Spain, a family day out before the British MotoGP™ or a weekend in the paddock at your favourite race circuit, you can be part of the movement that shows two wheels save lives.
