Tickets for next year’s British MotoGP™, which takes place at Silverstone on August Bank Holiday weekend (August 25-27), have gone on sale today, with a fantastic Early Bird money saving ‘thank you’ offer to the great British fans, priced at just £64.50 – for three full days of action-packed entertainment! This amazing offer is for the first 5,000 fans on a first come, first serve basis and available exclusively here.
The adult three-day Early Bird ticket will give MotoGP™ fans free grandstand roaming for the Friday’s Free Practice sessions and Saturday’s Qualifying – where the world’s top motorbike racers like Cal Crutchlow, Valentino Rossi, Marc Marquez and Jorge Lorenzo will race over the Silverstone Grand Prix Circuit – plus Sunday Race Day circuit entry and entry every day into the Grand Prix Village, where live bands will be performing on stage every afternoon.
With interactive displays, motorbike exhibitions, fabulous food outlets and a giant funfair, the Grand Prix Village will be the location for all the off-track entertainment-fuelled action – and such will be the attraction for all the family that, for the first time, a new Family Ticket will be available. This too is now on sale with a fantastic Early Bird offer – with a ticket for two adults and two children, for the full three days, priced at just £174.50.
The new earlier summer August Bank Holiday British MotoGP™ date will allow for a greater chance of warm and sunny weather (important if you plan to camp and/or watch from one of the great open-air viewing points around the Silverstone Grand Prix Circuit) and also give fans the option of returning home on Bank Holiday Monday – giving them more time to enjoy the great Race Day Party that will be held after the racing has finished on Sunday evening.
Only 14 countries (and only eight European countries) host a round of MotoGP™, so the British MotoGP™ (Round 12 of the 2017 series) is an unmissable chance to see the world’s best motorbike racers in action. Last year’s British MotoGP™ race was an unforgettable experience, where 75,000 fans and a global TV audience saw British hero Cal Crutchlow, fresh from his maiden MotoGP™ win, qualify on pole and finish second after a thrilling race-long duel with Valentino Rossi, Marc Marquez, Andrea Iannone and Dani Pedrosa. Out in front, Maverick Vinales gave Suzuki its first win since its return to the championship and there was even a Red Flag following a massive crash involving Loris Baz and Pol Espargaro.
With KTM joining Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki, Ducati and Aprilia as works teams on the grid, the 2017 British MotoGP™ promises to be the best ever – with British fans eager to cheer on home favourites Cal Crutchlow, Scott Redding and Bradley Smith.
And in addition to MotoGP™, riders in Moto2™ and Moto3™ will be aiming for world championship glory too, as the world’s best up-and-coming talent hit the Silverstone track at fearless speed.
Martin Whitaker, CEO of the Circuit of Wales (promoters of the British MotoGP™) said: “We are delighted to have agreed with Dorna and Silverstone Circuit the new August Bank Holiday race weekend date for the 2017 British MotoGP™, which we trust will be fantastic news for the great British fans. We know how important a Bank Holiday weekend is to the fans and particularly families who want to enjoy a spectacular weekend. Our plans are very much focused on creating a greater level of entertainment and planning for the event, both in terms of on-track action and the new fans-orientated Grand Prix Village, are already well underway, and our aim is to make the 2017 British MotoGP™ a fantastic family-fun weekend.
