LAP LAND TERMS AND CONDITIONS

PLEASE NOTE

  • The driver of the vehicle must hold a full UK driving licence and/or equivalent.
  • The vehicle must be road taxed and have appropriate insurance cover in place.
  • Anyone suspected of being under the influence of alcohol or drugs will not be permitted to participate in the Experience.
  • No one should attend the Experience if on the relevant date they are experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19 and/or have been in close contact with anyone showing symptoms within the last 14 days, except as a healthcare professional.
  • The driver of the vehicle must at all times drive in a safe manner and comply will all speed limits applicable to the Experience.
  • All participants must at all times comply immediately and fully with all instructions given by or on behalf of Silverstone.
  • All participants must comply with the terms and conditions relating to the Experience.
  • Silverstone reserves the right to remove anyone from the Venue if it considers any actions to be dangerous, reckless or detrimental to others participating in the Experience.
  • No animals (other than assistance dogs) are allowed anywhere within the Venue during the Experience (see details in the Terms and Conditions).
  • The Experience may include loud noise levels and the use of pyrotechnics, lasers and other flashing/strobe/ bright lighting.

Silverstone Circuits Limited (“SCL”) is committed to ensuring that all its customers enjoy experiences of the highest quality, which are safe, exciting and value for money. We know how much our customers look forward to the experiences and our terms and conditions have been carefully written to ensure that there are no misunderstandings which could detract from your enjoyment.

The purchase, booking, attendance and enjoyment of the LAP LAND Event (the “Experience”) and your admission onto the Silverstone circuit (the “Venue”) is subject to these Terms and Conditions (the “Terms and Conditions”) which can also be obtained by contacting SCL at enquiries@silverstone.co.uk or by writing (enclosing a pre-paid self-addressed envelope) to: Silverstone Circuits Limited, Silverstone Circuit, Northamptonshire, NN12 8TN.

SCL reserves the right to make changes to the Experience, or to the circuit used (including, without limit, relevant dates and times).

THE LAP LAND EXPERIENCE

The Experience will allow you to drive your own vehicle around one lap of LAP LAND Christmas light and laser display on part of the Silverstone Circuit with as many passengers as the vehicle is legally allowed to carry.

As part of your Experience, you will be entitled to upgrade your experience to include a drive-in cinema experience, further terms relating of this additional service can be found below, within these Terms and Conditions.

Please note that by booking a ticket for the Experience you confirm (on your own behalf and on behalf of each of the other occupants of the vehicle attending the Experience to which your booking relates) that the Terms and Conditions have been read and accepted in their entirety and that you and each occupant accepts that any failure to fully comply at all relevant times with the Terms and Conditions will result in removal from the Experience and/or Venue, irrespective of whether you have completed the Experience. In such circumstances SCL shall have no obligation to make any refund.

Tickets are for a specific time slot on a specific date and are not transferable to other times or dates. You will not be admitted to the Experience if you fail to attend at the specific time and on the specific date set out on your ticket and in such circumstances, no refund of the ticket price will be made.   

Tickets are not to be offered for resale and must only be used for personal or private use. If a ticket is resold or transferred for profit or for commercial benefit or gain or as part of any hospitality package or similar arrangement by anyone without SCL’s authority it will become void and the holder may be refused entry to or ejected from the Experience and/or the Venue. Ticket holders agree to reimburse SCL in full upon demand for all costs and expenses (including reasonable legal expenses) incurred as a direct result of all and any claims howsoever arising from any third parties as a result of the contravention of this term.

Children attending the Experience must be accompanied, and supervised at all times, by an adult. Each adult may bring as many children as can be legally carried in the vehicle.

YOUR COMMITMENT

Your booking for the Experience will specify a specific time and date for the Experience.  If you do not attend the Experience at your booked time on the booked date for any reason you will forfeit your booking and no refund of the ticket price will be made.

Once booked the time and date of your booking cannot be altered (save in the specific circumstances set out below in these Terms and Conditions).

It will take time to move from the main entrance at Silverstone to the start of your Experience.  As tickets are by reference to a specific time slot it is essential that you arrive in good time for this.  We recommend you arrive at the main entrance approximately 30 minutes prior to your specific time slot.

CONDITIONS RELATING TO YOUR PARTICIPATION IN THE EXPERIENCE

All drivers must hold a full and current UK (or equivalent) driving licence as at the date they are scheduled to take part in the Experience.

In connection with your participation in the Experience, you warrant to SCL that:

  • your vehicle has appropriate motor insurance cover in place; and
  • your vehicle is road taxed and, if required, has a valid MoT; and
  • you and your vehicle will comply with the normal rules of road safety which are applicable on public roads; and
  • you will comply with all speed limits imposed in connection with the Experience and within the Venue; and
  • the vehicle will be driven at all times by a person with a full and current UK (or equivalent) driving licence and who is insured to drive the vehicle; and
  • you will not have consumed any alcohol or drugs prior to your Experience which may affect your ability to participate in the Experience; and
  • that you will at all times whilst both at the Venue and during the Experience comply immediately and fully with all instructions (including but not limited to any safety instructions/briefing, any safety standards and any instructions from any stewards) given to you by or on behalf of SCL.

SCL adopts a zero tolerance approach to breach of any of the above warranties and reserves the right to refuse access to the Venue and/or participation in the Experience in the event that the driver or any of the occupants of the vehicle are in any breach of any of the above warranties.

Notwithstanding, the above warranties SCL reserves the right to refuse participation in an Experience to any person(s) suspected of being under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs whether as a driver or a passenger.

The safety of all participants of the Experience is of paramount importance to SCL.  In the event that any driver or other occupant of your vehicle involved in the Experience (a) fails to adhere to safety rules, (b) is unable to remain in full control of the vehicle, or (c) makes contact with another vehicle, (d) is involved in an accident, (e) behaves in an inappropriate or unacceptable manner, your Experience may be curtailed immediately and you and the other occupants of your vehicle may be required to leave the Venue.

SCL reserves the right to alter your specific booked Experience time by up to 3 hours, provided it does so at least 24 hours prior to your scheduled booked time.

SCL reserves the right to search any person and vehicle entering the Venue, no illegal substances or weapons are permitted at the Venue. If such items are found on any person they will be refused entry or will be required to leave without any entitlement to a refund.

It is a condition of admission to the Venue that no animals (other than assistance dogs) are allowed anywhere within the Venue. Assistance dogs are only admitted with prior notification to SCL. Please contact SCL on 0844 3728 251 during office hours to arrange this.

LOCAL LOCKDOWN

To comply with Government COVID-19 guidance, we ask that you do not book a date for the Experience if your area is subject to local lockdown measures that restrict you from travelling to Silverstone on the planned date of your and/or the participants Experience.

Following the booking being made, if local lockdown restrictions come into place for the area within which you reside that prevent travel to Silverstone for the Experience, we ask that you contact us at enquiries@silverstone.co.uk in advance no later than 10.00am on the day of your Experience. You will need to advise us of the restrictions in your area and provide an address that corresponds to the affected area of local lockdown. If the address is not the same as the details which SCL hold for you, our customer service team will require a copy of a recent official document providing your name at said address. Once your address and local lockdown restrictions have been verified you will be entitled to rebook on an alternative date (subject to availability) or if that is not possible a refund of the ticket price for the Experience will be offered.

Where notification of an inability to attend the Experience is not received as set out above the Experience and ticket price will be forfeited.

If local or national lockdown restrictions are in place which mean that SCL is unable to host the Experience on the date of your booking SCL will offer you an alternative, later date (subject to availability), or if that is not possible cancel the Experience and in the event of cancellation you will be entitled to a refund of your ticket price for the Experience.

PAYMENTS

Full payment must be made at the time of purchase of the ticket.

DESCRIPTION OF and changes to the EXPERIENCE

Where a description or the duration of an Experience is referenced on our website or any promotional materials this is an approximate time given as a guide only. You will take your Experience with other participants and there may also be some waiting time involved. Please note that any photography used in connection with Experiences is for illustrative purposes only.

SCL reserves the right to make changes to the advertised Experience.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF RISKs AND INDEMNITY

You acknowledge that the noise levels may be very loud during the Experience.  In addition, the Experience may include the use of pyrotechnics, lasers and other flashing/strobe/ bright lighting.  You acknowledge and accept (both on your own behalf and on behalf of all the other occupants of the vehicle) the risks caused by noise and the use of such pyrotechnics, lasers and other flashing/strobe /bright lighting and agree that you will take all precautions necessary to minimise any risks associated with such noise and the use of such pyrotechnics, lasers and other flashing/strobe/bright lighting. You should not participate (and you should procure that no other occupant of the vehicle will participate) in the Experience if you or any participant are sensitive to the presence of noise and/or pyrotechnics, lasers and other flashing/strobe /bright lighting or if the same might cause any risk or upset to you or any participant.

The very nature of Experiences means that some personal risk may be involved in taking part in our Experiences and you are deemed to acknowledge and accept such risk on your own behalf and on behalf of any person who participates in the Experience when booking the relevant Experience.

SCL will not be liable for any loss of any kind, injury or damage, howsoever caused, to you or your property (“Loss”) or that of the other occupants of the vehicle except where and only to the extent that any such Loss is caused by the negligence of SCL, its employees or authorised agents. Without prejudice to the foregoing, SCL excludes to the maximum extent permitted by law any liability for such Loss. Any liability on the part of SCL shall be limited to the ticket value of the Experience.

SCL reserves all rights in relation to any damage which is caused or contributed to by you or any of the occupants of the vehicle to any third party or property, and you agree to fully indemnify SCL and its parent and subsidiary companies and their respective officers or employees from and against all and any claims which arise, as a consequence of your reckless and/or negligent conduct whether during any Experience or otherwise.

MEDICAL REQUIREMENTS

Please note that some medical conditions preclude certain participants from taking part and that by booking the Experience participants certify they are medically fit to undertake and participate in the Experience. FORCE MAJEURE AND THE WEATHER

 All Experiences are offered subject to availability of dates, facilities and any act, event, omission or accident beyond the reasonable control of SCL including without limitation pandemic, epidemic, outbreak, disease, quarantine, public order disturbance, flood, storm, adverse weather condition (including, without limitation, snow) , natural event, fire, strike, lock-out or other industrial dispute even if not beyond the reasonable control of SCL, nuclear accident, act of God, war, terrorist activity, riot, civil commotion, malicious damage, act of government, compliance with any change to law, statutory guidance, non-statutory guidance, rule, regulation and/or direction, accident, breakdown of plant or machinery, non-performance by suppliers or subcontractors and interruption or failure of utility or service.

If SCL is unable to run your Experience due to extreme adverse weather conditions or other events beyond SCL’s control SCL will offer you an alternative date (subject to availability) and if that is not possible a full refund will be offered. INSURANCE

The below are summaries of cover. Any fraud, misstatement or concealment in relation to these schemes shall render the relevant insurance or indemnity null and void and all claims forfeited:

SCL maintains third party and public liability insurance cover for its operations involved in Experiences.

WHERE TWO VEHICLES COLLIDE AND THE FAULT IS WITH ONE OR BOTH OF THE DRIVERS. IN SUCH CIRCUMSTANCES, THIS WILL NEED TO BE DEALT WITH IN THE SAME WAY AS A NORMAL ROAD TRAFFIC ACCIDENT AND THE NORMAL INSURANCE REQUIREMENTS APPLY UNDER THE ROAD TRAFFIC ACT 1991.

COMPLAINTS

Any complaints arising from participation or otherwise in connection with any Experience must be received in writing by SCL within 14 days of the Experience being taken. To the maximum extent permitted by law, SCL will not consider any complaints received after that period.  Details should be sent to feedback@silverstone.co.uk.

STATUTORY RIGHTS

Your statutory rights are not affected by these Terms and Conditions.

INFORMATION ABOUT YOU AND YOUR VISITS TO OUR SITE

We process information about you, your booking and your use of the website in accordance with our privacy policy details of which can be found on our website.

UPGRADE PACKAGE – DRIVE-IN CINEMA

These additional terms and conditions are supplemental to the Terms and Conditions. You can upgrade your Experience to include the drive-in cinema option at the time of purchasing the Experience ticket.

Only customers with a valid ticket will be admitted into the drive-in cinema experience.

Car parking spaces with in the drive-in cinema experience will allocated by SCL stewards. Large vehicles such as vans, 4×4, people carriers and any other vehicle SCL class as large, will be placed towards the back.

You are not allowed to leave vehicles during the drive-in cinema film, except to visit toilet facilities, food and beverage collection and smoking areas. If you do leave your vehicle please ensure you comply with SCL’s COVID-19 mitigation rules at all time (e.g. Hands, Face, Space)

Staff on duty at the drive-in cinema experience reserve the right to refuse admission to any person or vehicle.  Persons that are disturbing other participants will be asked to leave the Venue. Staff also has the right to refuse entry to any person who is believed to be overly intoxicated or under the influence of drugs and any such person will be required to leave the Venue immediately without any entitlement to a refund.

You can only leave the drive-in cinema experience by alerting a member of staff, a staff member can then guide you from the Venue.

By purchasing the admission ticket for the drive-in cinema experience, the driver and any passengers in the vehicle accept that SCL will not be liable for any vehicles, or any vehicles damaged, or any items taken from vehicles whilst at the Venue except where and only to the extent that the same is caused by the negligence of SCL, its employees or authorised agents.  Any vehicle collisions or personal injury as a result of any collision will need to be dealt with in the same way as a normal road traffic accident

The drive-in cinema experience will be provided on a rolling basis throughout the evenings of the Experience, customers may have to wait for a period of time prior to the start of the film.

BULK TICKET PURCHASE – ADDITIONAL TERMS & CONDITIONS

In addition to the Terms and Conditions (above), any order in excess of ten (10) tickets (or any number of orders resulting in you receiving in excess of ten (10) tickets) shall be subject to the following conditions and may be subject to a request to execute a separate agreement with SCL.   1. You warrant that the tickets and/or passes are purchased for personal and private use.
  2. You shall not sell or transfer any of the tickets for financial or commercial gain, without the prior written permission of SCL.
  3. You shall not offer any of the tickets and/or passes to any third party as part of any hospitality package or similar arrangement including but not limited to offers of tickets and/or passes combined with food and/or other drink and/or travel and/or entertainment.
  4. SCL reserves the right to refuse entry to or remove from the bearers of tickets and/or passes purchased or received in contravention of these terms and conditions.
  5. You will indemnify SCL in full for all costs and expenses (including legal expenses) incurred as a direct or indirect result of all any claims howsoever arising from any third party (including legal expenses) incurred as a direct or indirect result of all any and claims howsoever arising from any third party (including but not limited to those refused entry or removed from the Venue).
  6. You agree to make payment in full in accordance with the payment terms issued by SCL. If SCL has not received payment from you within the agreed terms SCL shall have the right in its absolute sole discretion to cancel the booking and SCL will be free to sell these tickets. Tickets shall not be issued until payment has been received in cleared funds by SCL.
  7. You agree and acknowledge that there are no refunds or rights to cancel, save for the reasons detailed above in the Experience Terms and Conditions.
