Hosted from our new Wing pit and paddock with garages pre allocated for each of the three riding groups. Mechanic and tyre service available on the day from IDP Moto.

With lower numbers of bikes on circuit, a £10 food voucher and all day refreshments; this is an unforgettable opportunity for riders to harness the full potential of their own bikes on either the exhilarating International or GP circuit configurations.

International circuit

You will be hosted by one of our senior instructors who will be on hand in your designated pit garage area along with on track instructors to guide you through the many corners that make up the 1.85 mile International circuit.

Street Sport #1£129 pp

Aimed at newcomers to track days or riders with very limited track experience who are looking for a personal touch. practice your skills and enjoy the capability of your bike without the worry of a car pulling out, on–coming traffic or a diesel spill! With a maximum of 52 bikes and up to 7 x 15 minute sessions on track.

Street Sport #2£129 pp

Aimed at the more experienced road or track rider who only wants to ride with people who take their fun seriously, prepare their machinery properly and want room on the track to hone their skills. With a maximum of 52 bikes and up to 7 x 15 minute sessions on track.

Ultimate Sport £195 pp

With a maximum of only 45 bikes and up to 7 x 20 minute sessions on track with instructors, riding clinics throughout the day delivered by one of our senior instructors in the ‘Ultimate Sport’ designated pit garage. If you are serious about improving your riding skills whether it is on the road or track then this is the group for you!

International taster sessions

£35 per session

If you are still unsure which circuit configuration to choose, why not try one of our taster sessions on the International circuit on Sunday 21 April. You can book up to 3 sessions in your chosen group.

Please note: Food vouchers are not included in the 21 April taster session day.

Grand Prix Circuit

Ride in the wheel tracks of legends on the 3.66 mile famous Grand Prix circuit. You will be hosted by one of our senior instructors who will be on hand in your designated pit garage area along with on track instructors who will ensure you have a memorable day!

Novice £199 pp

Aimed at first timers to the track or riders with very limited track day riding. With a maximum of 72 bikes and up to 7 x 20 minute on track sessions.

Intermediate £199 pp

Aimed at riders who have ridden on circuit previously and feel confident enough to move up to the next level. With a maximum of 72 bikes and up to 7 x 20 minute on track sessions.

Advanced £199 pp

For the more experienced track day rider or racer looking to get some valuable track time on this iconic configuration. With a maximum of 72 bikes and up to 7 x 20 minute on track sessions.

To attend you will need:

• Have a motorcycle with an engine no smaller than 400cc (125cc race bike) in a road or track worthy condition (final decision machine suitability will be at the discretion of the circuit staff)
• Be aware that NO persons under the age of 18 are allowed on circuit for the track day.
• For ‘Street Sport’ #1 or Novice group have a full unrestricted or an A2 category licence issued by the DVLA (overseas country equivalent) and must be 20 years or over riding a minimum (35Kw) 47bhp motorcycle.
• For ‘Street Sport’ #2, ‘Ultimate Sport’, 'Intermediate' or 'Advanced' group have a full unrestricted licence issued by the DVLA (overseas country equivalent) and must be 20 years or over.
• Or hold an ACU licence with a minimum of 10 meetings under your belt (proof will be required at sign on) and must be 18 years or over.
• Wear a one or two piece leather suit (zipped all the way round), suitable riding boots, leather gloves and a motorcycle crash helmet of a recognised manufacturer complying with current ACU/FIM regulations.
• Inform Silverstone of any specific medical information including the taking of any medication or medical condition that could impair your ability to control a motorcycle.

*Please note: ACU licences are not accepted in the ‘Street Sport’ #1 or Novice groups.

The Track

• Will I get lots of time out on track?

  Yes, the number of participating motorcycles is limited both in attendance and out on track to ensure that you have a great day. Although it should be noted the amount of track time may vary depending on weather conditions.

• What if I’m slower/faster than other riders?

  This is not a problem, as track days are non-competitive with controlled overtaking. Faster bikes have the opportunity to overtake slower bikes on the straights.

• I’ve never ridden on a track before, can I get some help?

  If you have never participated in a track day we would ask you to book the Street Sport #1 package. This package caters for newcomers to track days and gives you time with the instructors.

• Should I be worried about my bike?

  As most modern bikes are developed on race circuits, though higher than road riding, the wear rates are lower than you might think.

• What if I have an accident?

  In the unlikely event that you have an accident whether small or large, there will be fully trained marshals and paramedics to help you as necessary. Similarly if somebody else has an accident marshals will alert you of any obstacles ahead.

• Can I hire a bike for the day?

  Bike hire is not available for the Track Days this year. There are plans to introduce bike hire for 2013.

• Am I allowed a pillion?

  Unfortunately, no pillions are permitted at any time whilst on track.

Licences & Regulations

• What do I need to bring with me?

  A motorcycle minimum 400cc unrestricted (125cc race bike) in a road or track worthy condition.

  A one or two piece leather suit (zipped all the way round), suitable riding boots, leather gloves and a motorcycle crash helmet of a recognised manufacturer complying with current ACU regulations.

  To attend the ‘Street Sport’ #1* group you will need a full unrestricted licence issued by the DVLA (overseas country equivalent) and must be 20 years or over.

  To attend the ‘Street Sport’ #2 or ‘Ultimate Sport’ group you will need a full unrestricted licence issued by the DVLA (overseas country equivalent) and must be 20 years or over.

  OR

  Hold an ACU licence with a minimum of 10 meetings under your belt (proof will be required at sign on) and must be 18 years or over.

  *Please note: ACU licences are not accepted in the ‘Street Sport’ #1 - Track Novice group

  Noise limits will be applied in accordance with our circuit regulations and will be monitored on a ride by basis at 102dB. Any bikes failing that will be black flagged and tested statically at 105dB.

• Can I bring additional riders and spectators?

  Yes. Additional riders will need to be booked on at the time of your booking. Spectators are free to come along and may purchase food on the day.

• Will I be insured?

  It is unlikely that your normal road insurance covers you for track day riding, please check your insurance and make arrangements as necessary.

• What do I need to wear?

  You must wear a one or two piece leather suit (zipped all the way round), suitable riding boots, leather gloves and a motorcycle crash helmet of a recognised manufacturer complying with current ACU regulations.

Noise Limits

• What are the noise restrictions?

  Noise limits will be applied in accordance with our circuit regulations and will be monitored on a ride by basis at 102dB. Any bikes failing that will be black flagged and tested statically at 105dB.

Venue Information, Access and Departure

• Can I bring my children?

  Yes, but all children 16 or under must be accompanied by an adult at all times and are not allowed in the garages or pit lane.

• Do you sell fuel and if so which type?

  The fuel station supplies Gulf super unleaded (97octane), Gulf super 102 (102 octane), and Gulf diesel. Fuel can be purchased 24/7 via card payment.

• What time can I enter the venue?

  Access to the venue and paddock will be allowed from 07:30hrs on the Track Day date. If you arrive prior to this time, please park in the car park indicated on arrival at the circuit.

• When do I need to leave the venue?

  Garages and Paddock must clear by 19:00hrs; there may be certain events whereby there is an evening track hire which requires the garages to be vacated by 17.15hrs. Riders will be advised of this prior to the event and this will be confirmed in the morning rider safety briefing.

Garage Allocation

• Will garages be available on the day?

  Garages will be automatically allocated to each group of riders, i.e. Street Sport #1, Strret Sport #2 and Ultimate Sport. Please ensure that any private cars or vans are parked at the back of the paddock and not the garage side.
  No motorcycle can be left overnight within the garage without prior written agreement of SCL. For the avoidance of doubt any motorcycle left with agreement shall be at the owners and not SCL’s risk.

Payment Terms, Cancellation and Refunds

• What happens if I need to cancel?

  Payment is taken by credit card at the time of booking. Your place is only guaranteed when paid for in full.
  In the event of your cancelling, no refund will be given however a transfer to another day will be allowed provided that at least 21 days’ written notice is received. (e.g., if your track day is the 29th, notification must be received no later than 17.30hrs on the 8th).
  All transfers MUST be taken within 6 months. In the event of a cancellation less than 21 days before the event, NO refund or transfer will be given.
  Silverstone Circuits reserves the right to cancel the day at any point without having to disclose the reason.
  We reserve the right to alter the pricing of our events without prior notice.
  Should Silverstone Circuit LTD have to cancel the event during the day, if less than 50% of activity has taken place a transfer to an alternative day may be offered.
  If the day is more than 50% complete no refund or transfer will be given.
  A confirmation e-mail will be sent for each booking made – this is your way of knowing that your booking has been accepted.

• What are your payment terms?

  Payment is taken by debit or credit card at the time of booking. A place on any track day is only guaranteed when paid for in full.
