History of FIA WEC Series

In just five years the WEC has truly carved out its place on the world’s motorsport stage, attracting more top-class competitors at the highest level, more fans, TV viewers and, of course, more media coverage.

Under the steady leadership of the promotor, the Automobile Club de l’Ouest, and the stewardship of the FIA, the WEC offers a multitude of opportunities to manufacturers, teams, engineers and drivers to compete in a high profile and prestigious calendar of races, based around the showcase of one of the world’s leading sporting events, the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

The technical regulations, which act as the reference point for endurance racing on a global basis, offer a platform which allows manufacturers to demonstrate a wide range of hybrid technologies, sustainable development in areas such as the reduction of fuel consumption and the testing of road relevant technologies, and all with a close eye on cost control. For these automotive giants, it remains the most relevant form of motorsport in the world today.

In 2017 the WEC calendar features nine rounds across the globe, spreading the Spirit of Le Mans to audiences new and old. In addition to the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans, races at the historic Silverstone, Spa and Nürburgring circuits complement the newer venues visited in Mexico, Austin, Texas (Circuit of The Americas), Shanghai, Fuji and Bahrain. We can’t wait for the sixth season of the World Endurance Championship.

Moto Trials – A different style of motorbike entertainment where the Trials bike is propelled up and over all kinds of obstacles. Leaping from structure to structure, pulling burnouts across the floor and whipping the crowd into a frenzy!

Make sure you stop by and check of both of these shows,

Free Fall Stunt Bag

The Free Fall Stunt Bag Jump experience is suitable for a wide range of participants from 5-75 years of age. No safety harness required! Simply climb up and jump off.

Face to Face Climbing Wall

The unusual design of this Face 2 Face mobile climbing wall means that a head to head challenge between two climbers is possible and the fact you can see each other adds extra spice to the competition.

You’ll be harness up so and attached to an auto belay, so it’s completely safe – then it’s a race to the top to hit that buzzer!

The Racing Bug

Line up against friends and foe alike in this unique, mobile driving experiences which is consistently the ‘star of the show’. Participants don’t just watch the action – they ARE the action.

Take to the wheel of your own remote control vehicle and navigate the course in a bid to take home the winners trophy! Participants will also have the opportunity to gain a personalised Race Licence! Spectators enjoy a perfect view of the whole circuit and watch the driver reactions as the adrenalin builds and the start lights switch from red to green.

Crazy Golf

Crazy Golf has been entertaining families for years – always has, always will. You can play for fun or for those of you who like to get competitive, we have scorecards to determine who the winner is.

The course is unique in the UK as all of the greens are made from super realistic artificial grass and the green is bordered by longer grass making a real ‘rough’. Make sure you stop by for a game!

Pop Bang Colour

Ian Cook is a contemporary British artist internationally known for his unique form of painting and quirky edge. Ian describes his work as a ‘friendly explosion of colour‘ and creates his art solely using the method of radio-controlled cars, car tyres and toy car wheels as his paintbrushes.
