Track Action Highlights

The Ferrari Racing Days at Silverstone will be the only occasion in Europe this year, except for the Ferrari World Finals, where you can see all the following together in one place. For further information click here.

European Ferrari Challenge Series

The Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli is one of the most popular one-make series, in part  because it brings together complete track novices and those who already have competition  experience. The former have their own Coppa Shell with a separate classification and final  title, while the latter race in the Trofeo Pirelli, also with a title up for grabs, so as to avoid a  one-sided contest and assure a good show, from expert competitors racing at a very high  level, as well as gentleman drivers who can thus compete on equal terms. There will be qualifying and races on both Saturday and Sunday. The wheel to wheel action makes for spectacular viewing.

F1 Clienti

The Prancing Horse’s Corse Clienti department is the only programme of its type in the world  that can make an enthusiast’s dream of acquiring and driving one of the championship-winning Ferrari single-seaters come true.  Seeing these Ferrari Formula 1 cars together on track is music to the ears, a feast for the eyes and makes ones heart pound as they screech past.

XX programme

If owning a Ferrari is a privilege, then owning an XX is pretty much the apotheosis. The intriguing  code name is applied to two Ferrari programmes aimed at the most loyal customers. The FXX  is used exclusively on track as part of a specific ongoing research and development programme,  featuring the first ever group of Client Test Drivers. Because the car was not designed to meet  any homologation rules for road or race use, Ferrari’s engineers had completely free rein to invent and develop innovative technological solutions that otherwise would not be possible if  the car had to be designed to meet a pre-defined set of rules and regulations.

F1™ Show (Sunday)

On Sunday there will be a special Ferrari Formula 1™ display on the circuit including demonstration pit stops and a tyre smoking burn out!

Meet the British Drivers

Marc Brough and Chris Froggatt are in their first year of racing in the European Ferrari Challenge Championship. They participate in the Trofeo Pirelli AM (amateur) class. Both are relatively new to racing, Chris is currently third in the AM Championship Standings going into Silverstone’s round after taking his first win at Budapest and also scoring a podium at the last event at Paul Ricard. Marc is 9th in the standings despite missing two of the rounds.

Sam Smeeth is participating in the Trofeo Pirelli PRO (Professional)  class after winning the Trofeo Pirelli AM class Championship last year. He also won the World Finals, which took place in Daytona, Florida and combines Ferrari Challenge Championships from around the world. Sam is currently 3rd in the PRO Championship Standings with several podiums already in 2017, his first year in the PRO class, including last time out at Paul Ricard in France.
