Silverstone's legendary curves will resonate to the thundering sound of the world's finest supercars, as tens of millions of pounds worth of cars do battle over what promises to be a spectacular weekend of racing and fan events.
Whether you're a supercar owner or a supercar fan, there's no finer way to see these beautiful creations being put through their paces, at one of the world's most historic and challenging race circuits.
As in previous years, the weekend's defining moment will be the opening round of the FIA GT Championship in which the world's finest GT1 and GT2 teams and drivers go head to head. Aston Martin, Corvette, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Maserati, Porsche and Saleen: such evocative names, such beautiful cars, and all racing for ultimate glory at Silverstone.
Not only does the Silverstone Supercar act as that first round of the 2009 FIA GT Championship, but the winners of that first race will also take home the historic and coveted Royal Automobile Club Tourist Trophy, which has in the past been won by such legends as Sir Stirling Moss, Graham Hill and Derek Bell.

2008 GT1 Champions Vitaphone will be hoping to continue their dominance of the class. As four-time team champions, they'll be hoping for a fifth successive team championship in 2009. Meanwhile in GT2 former single-seater stars Toni Vilander and Gimmi Bruni showed their class to take glory for AF Corse in 2008, and will be aiming to get their championship defence off to the best possible start this season.
Away from the track there is plenty to keep the whole family entertained.
