Come and see the stars of MotoGP™ when Day of Champions returns to Silverstone on Thursday 24 August 2017.

Hosted by Two Wheels for Life – Day of Champions will once again kick-start the British Grand Prix on Thursday 24th August. It’s a fun day out for the whole family with entertainment throughout the day, including live music and stunt displays. A limited number of exclusive paddock and pit lane tickets are also available for purchase, giving lucky holders the chance to experience behind the scenes of MotoGP™ as riders and teams prepare for the MotoGP™ weekend ahead.

Motorcyclists who are planning to arrive by bike can also take part in the famous Day of Champions ride-in led by Niall Mackenzie, which includes two laps of the world famous Silverstone circuit.

Two Wheel for Life - logoTwo Wheels for Life is the official charity of MotoGP™ and the Fédération Internationale de Motorcyclisme (FIM) and thanks to their support we run events that give racing fans once in a lifetime opportunities in the world of motorsport, including exclusive bike based experiences and auctions of memorabilia from the stars.

The funds raised will support the work of Riders for Health International and African programmes that ensure life-saving healthcare gets to rural communities using well-maintained motorcycles.

Includes access to the stage show, live music, interviews, stunt shows and the Two Wheels for Life auction.

Paddock Pass Tickets

Includes access to the MotoGP™ paddock and pit lane from 11am – 3pm giving you the opportunity to look behind-the-scenes of MotoGP™ and see the riders up close as they prepare for the British GP. You’ll also have access to all the action from the entertainment zone and the charity auction.


If you’re a keen biker why not arrive at Day of Champions by motorbike and take part in the Day of Champions ride-in along with 150 other riders? The Ride-in will be led by Niall Mackenzie and includes two laps of the Silverstone Circuit.

Tickets for the ride-in also includes an adult or child* pillion (depending on the ticket purchased), breakfast, access to the paddock and pit-lane, the entertainment zone and the Two Wheels for Life auction for both you and your pillion.

Ticket Collection

ALL tickets purchased after 17:00 on Wednesday 16 August will be held for collection at the circuit, but will still be subject to a handling fee. All International orders outside of Europe that are purchased after 12:00 on Friday 28 July will be held at the circuit for collection. European orders purchased after 11 August will also be held at the circuit for collection.

Ticket collection* is located at the main event reception near Gate 1 and will be open at the following times:

Wednesday 23 August 09:00 – 21:00
Thursday 24 August 08:30 – 21:00
Friday 25 August 07:30 – 21:00
Saturday 26 August 07:30 – 16:00
Sunday 27 August 07:00 – 14:00

*Please note that the lead booker will need to bring photographic ID and they card they paid with to collect his/her tickets. If another guest is collecting the tickets, or had them purchased for them as a present, you will need an email of consent from the leader booker to authorise this collection.

  • My ticket confirmation has my old address on it?

    Ticket despatch starts four to six weeks before the event, but tickets may be sent out anytime up until one week prior to the event. You will receive your tickets in advance either via First Class Royal Mail post or APC courier delivery. If you have not received your tickets please contact 0844 3750 740.

  • Collecting tickets from ticket collection at the event?

    If you have booked after the advanced despatch deadline tickets will be available for collection at Ticket Collection. To collect your tickets you will need ID (passport or driving licence, your email confirmation or booking reference number. If it is not the purchaser collecting the tickets we require a letter from them confirming that they give permission for you to collect the tickets on their behalf.
    Please park your car in the public car parks and then make your way to ticket collection.


    15 years and under is classed as a child.

  • Do children need a ticket?

    Children aged 15 and under will need a ticket for entry to the venue. Please ensure that you select the number of child tickets you require at the time of purchasing. One adult can accompany a maximum of four children.

    Yes you can tickets into the entertainment area on the day – we highly recommend buying in advance to avoid disappointment and to take advantage of the best ticket prices. Children 10 years and under are free.


    Gates open at 9am. Paddock entry (for ticket holders) opens 11am – 3pm. The auction starts at 3pm. All times are subject to change.

  • What time do car parks open?

    Car parks open up to half an hour before Circuit Gate Opening Times. Please note that this is subject to change.

  • Can i access the pit lane/ or the paddock area?

    The paddock & pitlane can be accessed between 11am – 3pm with the correct passes.

  • Are there any pit walks?

    The pitlane will be accessible to those with the correct passes between 11am – 3pm.

  • Are there any cash machines on site?

    There is a cash machine located in the Pit Stop Cafe at the National Paddock – please note that this machine charges for cash withdrawals.

  • Which credit/ debit cards do you accept?

    We accept most major credit and debit cards with the exception of American Express & Diners Club cards.

  • Can i leave the circuit and re-enter in one day

    Yes this is possible – please ensure that the staff at the gate stamp your hand as you leave the circuit. Re entry to the site will only be permitted if the person has their hand stamped and is in possession of a valid ticket for the event. Please review the timetable to check last re-entry times each day.

  • Can i use my pushbike

    Yes you can bring your bike to the event however, you will not be able to take it into the Paddock.


    Parking is free for the Day of Champions. Please follow the directional signage for public parking.

  • Do i need a permit for my motorcycle?

    Parking for motorcycles is free and a permit is not required to park.

  • Where is the nearest train station?

    Silverstone is situated between three stations; Northampton, Milton Keynes and Banbury. They are all approximately 30 minutes from Silverstone.

  • Can i camp at Silverstone?

    Camping is available to book at Silverstone Woodlands for those that have 3 day weekend tickets for MotoGP™.

  • How do i purchase camping tickets?

    Camping tickets can be booked online when MotoGP™ tickets are booked.


    The Paddock Café will be open and they stock a range of cold/hot food and beverage options. We also have a number of outdoor food to go catering units available around the circuit.


    Unfortunately you are unable to bring your pet with you unless they are an assistance dog. All assistance dogs are welcome. However, before your arrival please contact the circuit on 0844 3728 251 (Mon-Fri 8.30am-5.00pm only) so that arrangements can be made. If you do not call, you may be refused admission with your dog. It is not recommended that animals be subjected to the loud noises from some of our Motorsport activities. Dogs are not allowed in the paddock, garages or the pit lane. We ask kindly that you do not bring your pets and leave them in the car as this is not permitted in any area.

  • Silverstone policy statement on illegal substances

    Silverstone Circuits Ltd and the police have a zero tolerance policy to illegal substances. The dealing in or use of illegal drugs is not condoned by Silverstone Circuits Ltd. Drug enforcement laws are as applicable on site as anywhere else in the country. Polic officers and security guards will be onsite and will deal with drug offences in accordance with national guidelines. Neither anti-social nor illegal behaviour will be tolerated. You may be searched at the entrance. Any items which the organisers consider may be used in an illegal or offensive manner will be confiscated. Persons suspected of carrying out illegal and/ or offensive activities onsite may be searched. Offenders will be escorted off the site, and refused re-admission.
