If you’ve booked a Drive Silverstone experience date you will not need to download a ticket to attend. All you’ll need to bring along on the day is your Driving License.
We recommend leaving as much travel time as possible, there’s plenty to do and see at Silverstone and we won’t turn you away for arriving early on the day. Also keep in mind there is a 10-15 minute drive from the site entrance to your experience. You’re asked to arrive at least 1 hour prior to your experience to allow for licence checks and registration.
Our Drive Events are popular and usually run at capacity, therefore should you arrive late, having missed you group safety briefing time, you will be unable to drive and your experience will be lost. In this case your experience is non-refundable and non-transferable.
Yes our experiences will run in wet weather conditions and we take every measure possible to ensure we can operate safely in the majority of weather scenarios. In the run up to any event weekend our team closely monitor the weather and should there be any forecast likely to affect the running of our events we’ll be in touch via email. You can also call our weather line for updates 01327 320 421 (Please note this is only live on our event days).
We do not make the decision to cancel an event lightly, however the health and safety for our attendees and those delivering your experience is our priority and we want to ensure your experience exceeds your expectations.
Our experiences run on a variety of our famous track configurations, all picked with the aim of maximising your experience. Whilst your specific experience may not see you hitting the Grand Prix tarmac, our experiences offer the only opportunity to drive at the Home of British Motorsport and the British Grand Prix – the atmosphere is undeniable!
Whilst we always prefer to see the physical copy of your license, we do understand that this isn’t always possible. In order to take part in your Drive Experience we do need verification of your license status, therefore if you’re unable to provide your physical valid driving license, you will need to provide a DVLA check code to our team.
The DVLA check code is the online counterpart of your photo card driving license. The check code allows you to view and share you driving license information and is valid for 21 days.
To obtain a DVLA check code you will need to click here. You will be asked for your full driving licence number, National Insurance number and your postcode, so make sure you have them handy.
You will then need to:
- Click on the tab to share your licence information
- Then click the green button which says "create a code"
- Underneath your code there will be a link to say "view, print or save your licence information" which you will again need to click
- A PDF pop up will then appear. Simply select save and, this will then give you the option to save it to your documents.
- Once copies of all licences have been saved, you will need to bring copies of these, printed or on a mobile device and present them to our registration staff on the day.
PLEASE NOTE: licence holders must use the 'Share your licence information' functionality when providing their licence information. Screen prints of the 'Your Details', 'Vehicles you can drive' and 'Penalties and disqualifications' pages, are not intended for sharing and cannot be accepted.
These are the ONLY forms of license proof that our team can accept and without either of these you will be unable to complete your driving experience.
Yes, if you have any problems on the day of your event please contact 01327 320 421. This number will direct you to a member of the event team. Please note this number is not active on non event days.
Once you have booked your Drive Silverstone event date we’re unfortunately unable to move your booking. If you later find you’re unable to attend you are able to send another driver on your behalf, you’ll just need to email our team, please make sure your substitute driver has all the information of the experience and meets the driver requirements to take part.
If you purchased Cancellation Insurance as part of your experience and you’re unable to attend due to a reason covered by this, email our team providing the required proof to discuss the options for rearranging your drive.
Unfortunately we’re unable to allow any pets on site (other than pre-confirmed assistance dogs). Any one arriving with a pet will be denied access to the site which could result in the loss of your experience.
Don't worry! You can complete multiple entries on the link we've sent to you. Please ensure you only complete one entry for each driver.
You will be sent detailed joining instructions in the week prior to your experience. Keep an eye on your emails for the most up to date information relevant to your experience.
