We recommend allowing one hour for the total duration of the Lap of Lights experience. This will give ample time for the build-up, and the experience of driving around the circuit, regardless of your session time.
Lap of Lights
Drive in the tyre tracks of Formula One greats. The full Silverstone Grand Prix circuit, transformed after dark into a world of lights, lasers and Christmas magic unlike anything else in the UK. 120,000 people visited Silverstone for Lap of Lights in 2025. Do not miss out this winter.
Two miles. One legendary lap. Completely unmissable.

THE UK'S ONLY CHRISTMAS LIGHT TRAIL ON A FORMULA ONE CIRCUIT
Picture this. Your whole car hushed, anticipation building as you edge towards the start line for your lap ahead.
Then... you're on it. The actual circuit. The same two miles that the world's greatest Formula One drivers push their limits on every British Grand Prix. Lando. Lewis. George. And now, it's you.
The track is transformed. Festive lights illuminate legendary corners like Maggotts-Becketts. Lasers dance over the iconic Wing pit lane. The whole circuit glows in a way that feels both completely magical and unmistakably Silverstone.
One lap. The home of the British Grand Prix meets Christmas magic. The kind of night your family will still be talking about on the drive home.
"There was so much to see as you drive around the circuit, including laser shows, an amazing display of lights, and plenty of sports cars. The pit straight was a spectacular array of colour and striking lights, and the kids loved sitting in the race cars." Haz, December 2025
