FAQs

COVID

Due to Silverstone being an outdoor venue covering a large area and with plenty of wide open spaces at The Classic, it’s not considered a high-risk setting therefore there will be no requirement to show proof of a double vaccination and/ or a negative lateral flow test result. We will continue to monitor the situation and if this guidance changes, we’ll provide an update at the earliest opportunity.

However, we do strongly encourage you to consider taking a lateral flow test in advance of the event to help keep you and others as safe as possible at the event.

For those visiting the Wing as a hospitality guest or attending the auction, CO2 monitors and mechanical ventilation is in place to maximise fresh air and minimise air recirculation

If this happens prior to or while at the event then you will need to isolate for ten days. If you are at the event, you will be required to leave immediately and return to your home address in order to complete your period of self-isolation and continue to follow advice from Test and Trace.

Close contacts have to isolate for 10 days irrespective of their own test results, therefore should leave the event immediately and follow advice from test and trace. Changes to self-isolation rules for fully vaccinated people do not come into effect until 16 August.

If you are unable to attend the event for this reason you will need to complete this form and we will roll your ticket over to 2022. Please note that you will be asked for evidence before we administer your rollover, and that by completing this form your e-tickets will no longer be valid for the 2021 event.

The health and safety of fans, staff and teams visiting Silverstone remains our highest priority. We are working with the relevant authorities including Public Health England and the local agencies to ensure we have all the necessary policies and procedures to deliver a COVID safe event.

All our staff, contractors, suppliers and others working on the event are required to wear a face mask and take a daily Lateral Flow Test throughout the event, and are strongly encouraged to continue observing social distancing.

An enhanced cleaning regime is in place in all public and back of house areas, hand sanitiser is available around the site, and we’ll be carrying Hands | Face | Space reminders around the site and on the big screens.

We’re all responsible for stopping the spread of COVID-19 so please:

  • Wash your hands regularly (with soap and warm water for 20 seconds)
  • Use the hand sanitiser provided frequently - especially after touching surfaces (we recommend you bring your own hand sanitiser too)
  • Maintain good hygiene
  • Follow any one-way signage
  • Use the test and trace app, and
  • We strongly encourage you to wear a face covering particularly in crowded spaces such as the concert areas and paddocks, as well as indoor settings.

Please play your part and respect others around you.

We do strongly encourage you to wear a face covering, particularly in crowded spaces such as the concert areas and paddocks, as well as indoor settings. However, this is a personal choice and there will be no requirement to wear a face covering.

Anyone with a positive lateral flow test results needs to isolate immediately and follow NHS guidance: https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/testing/test-results/positive-test-result/

If you have a positive test result prior to attending you will need to complete this online form and we will roll your ticket over to 2022. Please note that you will be asked for evidence before we administer your rollover, and that by completing this form your e-tickets will no longer be valid for the 2021 event.

Following the UK Government’s announcement of the relaxation of COVID-19 restrictions from the 19th July, there will be no requirement to follow social distancing rules while at the event.

However, we want everyone involved to feel safe and comfortable while attending The Classic so please be sensitive and respectful of others around you.

There are three options for accessing free lateral flow tests:

  1. Order to your home address via the gov.uk website
  2. Pick up from your local chemist - use the NHS test and trace website to find your nearest pick-up point
  3. Go to your local community testing centre - use NHS test and trace website to find your nearest location.

International ticket holders are advised to follow existing international travel guidance here, and must abide by any quarantine requirements. There are no exemptions for event spectators.

Anyone developing Covid-19 symptoms while at the event will need to leave the venue immediately, return home and start self-isolating immediately. All close contacts of that individual should also leave the venue, take a lateral flow test and start self-isolating.

If the symptomatic person subsequently receives a negative PCR test then close contacts can come out of isolation.

If you are unable to attend the event for this reason you will need to complete this form and we will roll your ticket over to 2022. Please note that you will be asked for evidence before we administer your rollover, and that by completing this form your e-tickets will no longer be valid for the 2021 event.
