Dementia Action Week


To mark Dementia Action Week (16-22 May), The Classic has launched two special initiatives raising much-needed funds and awareness for Alzheimer’s Research UK, the event’s Official Charity Partner.

The first of these is an unforgettable Fun Run around the famous Silverstone Grand Prix circuit and the second an amazing Prize Draw offering its lucky winners some incredible experiences and signed Formula 1 merchandise.

Entries for the Fun Run opened today (Friday), three months before the Run takes place at The Classic on the early evening of Friday 26 August around the UK’s most iconic motor racing circuit.

All those aged 10 and over are welcome to register online in advance for a suggested donation of £5 and help fund life-changing research while taking part in a run to remember.

Raising further funds for Alzheimer’s Research UK, a truly outstanding Prize Draw opened at the start of Dementia Action Week and will remain open until the end of June for all those seeking to win some truly remarkable give-aways.

Headline prizes include: Parc Fermé Hospitality tickets for two over the weekend of The Classic (26-28 August); a VIP behind-the-scenes tour of the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team Factory, a Ferrari Driving Experience at Silverstone, a Car Gods paintwork protection kit and merchandise signed by Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team drivers Lewis Hamilton and George Russell (photos below). All donations received from both the Fun Run and the Prize Draw will go directly to Alzheimer's Research UK, helping the charity to fund critical, life-changing research into dementia.
