2027 MotoGP calendar announced: Silverstone retains August slot as two new venues join the schedule

The 2027 MotoGP calendar has officially been revealed, with 22 rounds set to take place across five continents from March to November.

The new season brings two additions to the calendar, as MotoGP heads to Buenos Aires for the Argentine Grand Prix before making its debut at a new street circuit in Adelaide.

For British fans, Silverstone keeps its summer spot, with the 2027 British Grand Prix scheduled for 13-15 August.

The 2027 MotoGP season gets underway in Thailand on 7 March before travelling through the Americas, Europe, Asia and Oceania on its way to the season finale in Valencia.

When is MotoGP at Silverstone in 2027?

The 2027 British MotoGP will take place at Silverstone from 13-15 August, with the British Grand Prix forming Round 13 of the championship.

The British Grand Prix sits between the Czech Grand Prix at Brno in July and the Austrian Grand Prix at Spielberg at the end of August.

With MotoGP continuing at Silverstone through 2027 and 2028, the British round remains a fixture on the World Championship calendar for the next two seasons.

2027 MotoGP season starts in Thailand

The 2027 campaign begins at Chang International Circuit in Buriram on 7 March, continuing Thailand's role as the opening round.

Just one week later, MotoGP heads to Qatar for a night race at Lusail International Circuit before the championship makes its first trip to South America.

Brazil returns to Goiânia before Argentina joins the calendar

South America takes centre stage in April, with Brazil hosting Round 3 at Goiânia on 4 April before the championship crosses the border to Argentina the following weekend.

The Argentine Grand Prix marks a return to Buenos Aires, with the Autódromo Oscar y Juan Gálvez set to host MotoGP on 11 April. The event is the first new addition to the 2027 calendar.

The opening stint then heads north to the United States, where Circuit of The Americas hosts the fifth round in Austin on 25 April.

MotoGP returns to its European classics

After the opening run through Asia and the Americas, the championship settles into its familiar European stretch.

Jerez starts the European phase in May, followed by Le Mans, Mugello and Barcelona before MotoGP heads north to Assen. Germany and Czechia follow in July, with the Sachsenring and Brno completing the final European rounds before the summer pause.

Silverstone then becomes the centre of attention in August, with the British MotoGP 2027 dates set for 13-15 August.
From Britain, the championship moves to Austria for the final weekend of August, before September signals the San Marino Grand Prix at Misano and Aragon at MotorLand.

A different shape to the 2027 season finale

The Portuguese Grand Prix moves into the early part of October at Portimão, becoming the final European stop before MotoGP begins its closing run overseas.

Japan comes next at Motegi on 17 October, followed a week later by Malaysia at Sepang. Indonesia then hosts Round 20 at Mandalika on 31 October.

The final two rounds introduce something new to the championship calendar.

On 14 November, MotoGP will make its debut at the Adelaide Street Circuit, with the Australian Grand Prix becoming the penultimate race of the season. 

The championship then concludes in familiar surroundings at Valencia on 28 November, with the Ricardo Tormo circuit once again hosting the final round of the year.
