Russell converts pole into Singapore victory
From pole position, George Russell held his ground into Turn 1, keeping Verstappen behind as the McLarens squabbled.
The Mercedes driver built a steady gap before pitting on Lap 26 for fresh Hard tyres, and although Norris then Piastri briefly inherited the lead, Russell reclaimed control when the McLarens pitted.
From there, he managed his pace perfectly, crossing the line to take his second victory of a stellar 2025 season with the silver arrows.

Norris gets his elbows out
Starting fifth, Norris made a sensational getaway, surging past Kimi Antonelli into Turn 1 and pulling a bold move on team-mate Piastri at Turn 3. The ensuing contact left him with front wing damage, but he pressed despite the loss in downforce.
When Russell stopped on Lap 26, Norris briefly led the race before pitting a lap later. Rejoining behind Verstappen, he threw everything at the Red Bull in the final stint, nearly pulling off a daring move around the outside of Turn 7 on Lap 53.
Ultimately, Verstappen’s defence proved too strong, leaving Norris to settle for third. But third, combined with Piastri’s points haul, was enough to secure the Constructors’ Championship for McLaren after an utterly dominant run so far in 2025.

Hamilton hampered by brake issues
Lewis Hamilton started sixth on the grid but dropped behind team-mate Charles Leclerc early on.
Later in the race, the seven-time champion suffered brake problems which meant he eventually faded to eighth at the flag.
Bearman banks more points in Singapore
Ollie Bearman continued his steady rookie season with another points finish. Starting ninth, he briefly slipped to 10th but recovered with a strong second stint to regain the position.
He brought his Haas home in ninth, adding valuable points to his 2025 tally and further proving his ability to run in the top ten.
Piastri loses out after slow stop
Lining up third on the grid, Oscar Piastri was immediately relegated to fourth by Norris on Lap 1, losing track position after the Brit put a robust move on him into Turn 3 and the pair banged wheels.
From there, the Australian held fourth, his hopes of challenging Norris in the second stint were undone by a sluggish right-rear wheel change during his Lap 28 pit stop.
Rejoining behind Verstappen and Norris, he closed back in on the duelling pair but couldn’t recover all the lost ground. Fourth was the best he could manage once the chequered flag fell, a result that helped McLaren secure the 2025 Constructors’ title.
