Silverstone Festival Car Club Display Packages
Terms and Conditions

These terms and conditions relate to the Car Club Display Packages (including the Mustang Celebration Package) at Silverstone Festival (the Event) and must be observed in conjunction with Silverstone Festival Terms & Conditions.

Silverstone Festival is a Silverstone Event organised in collaboration with Goose Live Events Limited (GLE). GLE is responsible for the organisation of Silverstone Festival on behalf of Silverstone Circuits Limited (SCL). The term ‘Event Organiser’ when used within this document means ‘GLE’ and ‘SCL’.

1. CAR CLUB DISPLAY PACKAGE

1.1. A Car Club Display Package includes TWO general admission tickets and ONE Vehicle Display Pass for the allocated club display area.

1.2. A Car Club Display Package can only be purchased by a club member intending to display their vehicle with the club and using the applicable unique booking code dedicated to each individual car club OR by a Mustang owner purchasing the Mustang Celebration Package OR as agreed at the Event Organiser's sole discretion.

1.3. A display car is a minimum of 20 years old and/or of special interest as agreed between the Event Organiser and your car club coordinator.

1.4. There is a two-tier approach to package prices. Two unique booking codes will be issued and the relevant code should be used as appropriate for the age of the car.

  • Tier 1 = tax exempt vehicles (pre-1984)
  • Tier 2 = non-tax exempt (1984 +).

If the incorrect code has been used to purchase a Car Club Display Package, the Silverstone Customer Services Team will make contact to move the member to the correct package.

1.5. By using a car club’s unique booking code to purchase the Car Club Display Package, the purchaser agrees to their booking details being shared with the relevant club. This is necessary to ensure bookings are made by bona fide club members who are entitled to use the exclusive club booking code. It also enables the club to plan its display and co-ordinate its activity at the Event.

1.6. There is no extra booking/handling fee on top of the Car Club Display Package price.

1.7. The Car Club Display Package prices are subject to change on the 3 January and 2 April. The deadline for purchasing a Car Club Display Package is 30 June 2024 (subject to change at the discretion of the Event Organiser; any changes will be  communicated to your club co-ordinator). Car Club Display Packages are subject to availability and certain packages are likely to sell out prior to 30 June.

2. VEHICLE DISPLAY PASS

2.1. A Vehicle Display Pass is issued as part of a Car Club Display Package only. A Vehicle Display Pass cannot be purchased separately nor by non-car club members.

2.2. A Vehicle Display Pass is for a club member’s display vehicle only.

2.3. A Vehicle Display Pass is only valid for parking within the designated club display area.

2.4. When purchasing a Car Club Display Package, club members will be asked for the make, model, year, colour and registration number of the vehicle they intend to display at the Event. A Vehicle Display Pass will display this information along with the name of the club and will only be valid for the vehicle that has been registered.

2.5. A Vehicle Display Pass is issued at the Event Organiser’s discretion and may not be issued if the vehicle registered does not represent the club appropriately or does not reflect the values under which the car club’s registration has been accepted. In this instance the club member will be required to park in the public parking outside the circuit.

2.6. If a club member needs to change their vehicle details AFTER purchasing a Car Club Display Package AND the vehicle model still represents the club, the club member will need to:

  • Until 30 June complete the online vehicle change form here
  • From 1 July email the Event Organiser ([email protected]) with the following information:
    • Booking reference number
    • Car club code
    • Old Vehicle Registration
    • New Vehicle
      • Make
      • Model
      • Year
      • Registration
      • Colour

2.7. If a club member needs to change their vehicle details AFTER purchasing a Car Club Display Package AND the vehicle model does NOT represent the club, the club member will be required to park in the public parking outside the circuit.

2.8. If a club member has NOT notified the Event Organiser of a vehicle change and arrives at the Event in a vehicle different from the one listed on the Vehicle Display Pass, or the car model does not represent the club, the club member will be required to park in the public parking outside the circuit.

3. CAR CLUB DISPLAY AREA

The following is NOT permitted in any car club display area unless expressed permission has been given by the Event Organiser:

3.1. Catering

  • 3.1.1. Selling of hospitality, or any food and beverages
  • 3.1.2. Use of external caterers

3.2. Commercial Endorsement and Activity

  • 3.2.1. Advertising a car for sale at the Event.
  • 3.2.2. Manufacturer or any third party sponsorship branding unless agreed with the Event Organiser.
  • 3.2.3. Trade stands or selling of non-club merchandise items unless agreed with the Event Organiser. Any activity that is not approved by the Event Organiser and is of a commercial nature may be removed.

3.3. Temporary accommodation

  • 3.3.1 Tents.

3.4. Power

  • 3.4.1. Generators

3.5. Vehicles

  • 3.5.1. Caravans and motorhomes. No sleeping or camping is permitted inside the circuit venue at any time during the Event.
  • 3.5.2. Vans and trailers

4. VEHICLE MOVEMENT

4.1. Given the large public spectator levels at the Event, there is to be no car club display vehicle movement between 09:00 and 17:30 on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Therefore, to ensure that you gain access to your club stand, we request that you arrive before 09:00 and do not leave before 17:30, otherwise you may be required to park in the public car park. The only exception to this is for vehicles entered into a track parade whereby they may need to move to parade assembly areas at certain times; these vehicles will receive written instructions from their car club regarding signing on, track assembly area, timings, etc. prior to the Event.

4.2. Any vehicle parked outside of their club display area is liable to be towed to the public car parks. Silverstone Circuit is private property, and the Event Organiser reserves the right to tow any vehicle that is parked where it shouldn’t be. Any vehicles towed, are towed at the liability and cost of the vehicle owner. SCL are not liable for any damage caused during this process.

4.3 Any vehicle found driving around the Event site during 09:00-17:30 on Friday, Saturday and Sunday may be ejected from the Event and re-entry for the vehicle and driver may be denied.

4.4. There will be no entry (or re-entry) for car club VEHICLES with a Vehicle Display Pass after 17:30 on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

4.5. Vehicles can be left overnight in the display area, but they must have a valid Vehicle Display Pass for the following day. If the car owner has a weekend car club package and has accommodation nearby, it may be beneficial to leave the display vehicle in place from Friday to Sunday to help with traffic management and limit vehicles moving around the site. No vehicles must be left in the display area overnight on the Sunday. Vehicles are left at the vehicle owner’s risk. All cars must vacate the circuit at the end of the Event on Sunday.

5. INCLEMENT WEATHER

5.1. Display space cannot be guaranteed and is subject to weather and ground conditions. Car Club Display Areas are therefore subject to change and, in extenuating circumstances, may result in parking in public car parks.

6. PARADES

6.1. If a club is celebrating a significant anniversary and there is sufficient capacity in the track schedule, the club may be invited to participate in a slow speed track parade on the full grand prix circuit. A parade lap cannot be guaranteed if your club is celebrating an anniversary. The track parade schedule will be advised 3-4 months prior to the Event.

6.2. Cars taking part in a celebration parade must be suitable and roadworthy for the Event and the driver must hold a current and valid full driving licence (provisional not permitted). The use of the vehicle registered must be covered by a motor insurance policy as required by the law.

6.3. Passengers are allowed to take part in parades but the number of people in any car must not exceed the number of seats fitted to the car and all must be in possession of an Event ticket. All passengers must be seated in the seats provided and safety belts must be used. Passengers under 18 must have the signed approval of their parent or guardian to participate in a track parade. Passengers in Touring Cars, or Cabriolet/Sports Cars with the hood erected or hardtop fitted, must be 12 years or over and be at least 135cm in height. Passengers in Cabriolet/Sports Cars without the hood erected or hardtop fitted must be aged 16 years or over and be at least 135cm in height. No child under 12 years is allowed to be a passenger. This is subject to change at the discretion of Motorsport UK.

6.4. Standard motor insurance policies are likely to exclude driving on a motor racing circuit. It is mandatory for all drivers (and their passengers) taking part in the track parade to sign-on agreeing to indemnify and hold harmless each of or any combination of Motorsport UK and its associated clubs, the organisers, the track owners or other occupiers, the promoters and their respective officers, servants, representatives and agents in respect of any loss or damage whatsoever and howsoever arising from the driver’s participation in this Event. All participants in a parade must sign the Event’s disclaimer form which, when signed and presented to a member of the Event team in the display area prior to the track parade, will be exchanged for a wristband(s) allowing the driver and if applicable passenger(s) to take part in the parade. All people who have signed-on must be present when wristbands are issued and affixed to the person’s wrist. Anyone without the issued wristband will not be permitted to take part in the track parade.

6.5. If participating in a parade lap at the Event, there will be some holding time prior to a parade when participating vehicles may need to be in parade assembly areas. There may also be some holding time after a track parade whilst vehicles return to their respective display areas. The exact timings of these will depend on the size of the parade and will be confirmed closer to the Event.

6.6. The parade lap will be one full lap of the grand prix circuit at slow speed. If accessing the circuit from the pit lane then the lap will be slightly less than one full lap as you will enter the circuit from the pit lane exit and leave the circuit at the pit lane entry point.

6.7. When on track, cars should take up formation 2-abreast. Cars must not overtake other parade cars or the Course Cars, unless directed to do so by the Course Car driver. Drivers must keep to the speed set by the Course Cars. There must be no holding back, no hard acceleration and no hard braking. Such driving standards will not be tolerated by the Event Organiser and may result in exclusion from participation in track parades at the Event in future.

6.8. Full written instructions for the parade lap including signing-on and track assembly area details and timings will be sent to the relevant car club co-ordinator prior to the Event. The car club co-ordinator is responsible for ensuring all parade participants sign the disclaimer form in exchange for a wristband(s) allowing the driver and if applicable passenger to take part in the parade.

6.9. Track parades cannot be guaranteed and are subject to weather and the racing schedule. Track parades are therefore subject to change and, in extenuating circumstances, may be cancelled. No refund for the Car Club Display Package will be available in such an event.

7. SIGNAGE

7.1 The Event car club flags are not free to take and cost money to replace. If a flag is removed from the Event then the relevant car club will be charged for a replacement flag.

8. GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

8.1 The Car Club Display Package Terms and Conditions should be read in conjunction with Silverstone Festival Terms and Conditions. If there is a conflict with the General Terms and Conditions, the General Terms and Conditions take precedence over the Car Club Display Package Terms and Conditions.

8.2. SCL reserves the right to alter the Car Club Display Package Terms and Conditions at any time. Please check back regularly for changes.
