CHRISTMAS AT SILVERSTONE SET TO DELIVER FESTIVE THRILLS ON AND OFF THE TRACK

LAP OF LIGHTS, ICE TRAK, SANTA’S GARAGE, SIMULATORS, LIVE MUSIC, CURLING, FESTIVE FOOD AND DRINK, SILVERSTONE MUSEUM, CAR AND BIKE DISPLAYS AND KART SILVERSTONE COME TOGETHER FOR AN UNFORGETTABLE FESTIVE DAY OUT

Christmas at Silverstone will transform the home of the British Grand Prix into a spectacular festive wonderland from Friday 11 December until Thursday 31 December.

Following an event that welcomed more than 120,000 visitors in 2025, this year’s Christmas celebration will bring together exhilarating motorsport experiences, immersive family entertainment, live music, festive food and drink, and the unmistakable magic of Silverstone.

At the heart of the event will be Lap of Lights, the only festive experience in the world where visitors can drive an iconic Formula 1 circuit after dark. Guests will take to the legendary Silverstone Grand Prix circuit, passing 10 spectacular light installations, 7,000 lights illuminating its famous corners, straights and grandstands, and 35 lasers sweeping across the track. Also returning for 2026 is Ice Trak which gives visitors the unique opportunity of strapping on a pair of skates and gliding through the Formula 1 pit garages. Combining festive atmosphere with Silverstone’s unmistakable motorsport setting, this skating experience invites families and friends of all ages and abilities to take to the ice in the very garages normally occupied by the world’s most famous racing teams.

Families can also step inside Santa’s Garage for a fully immersive, 40 minute festive journey. Housed trackside in Silverstone’s famous F1 garages, the experience takes visitors from a special briefing area to the Elf Toy Workshop, where children become Elf Engineers, before their experience culminates in a personal meeting with Santa. Every child will receive a toy to take home. The 2026 event will offer a full festive day out and, in addition to Lap of Lights, Santa’s Garage and the Ice Trak experience, visitors can try their hand at curling inside the F1 garages or put their driving skills to the test on a Silverstone simulator. Kart Silverstone will be open throughout Christmas at Silverstone, giving visitors the chance to make even more of their day at the home of British motorsport. Those looking for an extra dose of adrenaline can get behind the wheel and try their hand at karting on Silverstone’s brand-new, international standard circuit, putting their driving skills to the test in an exhilarating experience for aspiring racers and motorsport fans alike.

Guests can also discover the cars, stories and defining moments that have shaped British motorsport at a special pop-up Silverstone Museum display within the Christmas event which will feature not only memorabilia from the archive but also a display of some of the cars and bikes that race at Silverstone during the season including F1 cars, supercars and MotoGP bikes.

Those keen to delve deeper into the circuit’s remarkable history can also visit the main Silverstone Museum, where an extensive collection of iconic racing cars, interactive exhibits and immersive displays brings the past, present and future of British motorsport to life.

A festive food village will serve seasonal favourites including mulled wine, luxury hot chocolate, bratwurst and freshly made sweet treats. Visitors wishing to extend their stay can make a night of it with festive packages at Escapade, Silverstone’s trackside hotel.

Adding to the excitement, daily competitions and prize giveaways will give visitors the chance to bag themselves an early Christmas gift. Embracing the spirit of the season, Silverstone will surprise and delight fans of all ages throughout the event, with special festive moments and prizes waiting to be discovered each day.

Stuart Pringle OBE, CEO Silverstone said: “Christmas at Silverstone is a celebration unlike any other, combining the thrill and heritage of motorsport with the magic of the festive season. After welcoming more than 120,000 visitors last year, we’re delighted to be returning in 2026 with an even bigger experience for families and motorsport fans.

“From driving the Formula 1 circuit beneath thousands of lights, skating through the pit garages or becoming an Elf Engineer in Santa’s Garage, Christmas at Silverstone creates memories that last long after the festive season has ended.”

Christmas at Silverstone will be open to the public from Friday 11 December to Thursday 31 December 2026, excluding Christmas Day. Tickets and further information are available here.
