The Ice Trak ice skating experience at Christmas at Silverstone

Ice Skating at Silverstone: Your guide to Ice Trak 2026

Ice Trak is back at Silverstone for Christmas 2026, giving visitors the chance to go ice skating inside the Formula 1 pit garages you've seen at the British Grand Prix.

Strap on a pair of skates and glide through the garages normally occupied by the world's best racing teams, now transformed into a North Pole-themed rink, as part of Christmas at Silverstone from Friday 11 December to Thursday 31 December 2026 (closed Christmas Day).

A pit garage like no other

On a Grand Prix weekend, the pit garages at Silverstone become a hive of activity, with engineers and mechanics working flat out to prepare the cars as best as possible.

This Christmas, the garages have been transformed into a North Pole training rink, so you can take to the ice in the very place the sport's biggest names call home.

Inside Ice Trak

Ice Trak puts a motorsport spin on a festive favourite. There's no need to be an expert: it's open to skaters of all ages and abilities, so first-timers, confident skaters and everyone in between can enjoy it side by side.

It also makes for a great group get-together, with friends, family and colleagues all welcome.

Make this Christmas unforgettable

Ice Trak can be booked alongside your Lap of Lights or Santa's Garage tickets, or as a standalone experience, so you can build your day around whatever suits you best.

To turn it into a full festive day out, why not pair your skate with a drive around the Silverstone Grand Prix circuit after dark at Lap of Lights? It's two miles of the Grand Prix track transformed with 10 light installations and more than 7,000 lights, all enjoyed from the warmth of your car.

Younger visitors can meet Santa at Santa's Garage, a 40-minute journey from the briefing area to the Elf Toy Workshop and a personal meeting with Santa himself (11 to 24 December, from £18).
