Lando Norris launches LN4 Fusion, a new junior single-seater team
03 September 2026Reigning Formula 1 World Champion Lando Norris has launched LN4 Fusion, a brand-new, multi-championship junior single-seater team he's co-founded, with programmes already confirmed across Italian F4 through to Formula 3 from 2027.
Announced on 2 September, it's a genuine first for junior motorsport. No serving Formula 1 World Champion has put their name behind a team at this level before.
Behind the badge
The team is underpinned by a well-funded investment group headed by Dan Richards, handling the commercial side, the strategy and the growth plan so the people running the cars can focus purely on results.
A Team Principal with a trophy cabinet to match
Running the sporting side is René Rosin, who takes the Team Principal role after a career that's produced upwards of 40 championship titles over the past twenty-odd years.
Alongside him, Guillaume Capietto steps in as Racing Director, taking charge of technical and on-track decisions across the organisation, arriving with a strong reputation for inventive engineering and no shortage of silverware to back it up.
A Cambridgeshire base with British F4 in its sights
On Norris’ home soil, the operation is run out of Cambridgeshire by Dan Hazlewood, a 25-year veteran of international motorsport who previously guided Fusion Motorsport to a string of karting titles both in the UK and further afield.
Formula 4 cars are already turning laps under his watch, with a testing programme building towards a British F4 Championship entry, a series that's long served as one of the UK's key stepping stones from karting into single-seaters.
A grid already taking shape for 2027
Further afield, LN4 Fusion has programmes locked in across the Italian F4 Championship, the FIA Formula Regional European Championship and FIA Formula 3, the last of which was made possible by securing part of AIX Racing's operation, which comes with an FIA F3 grid slot secured through to the end of 2027.
Paperwork is also in for a future FIA Formula 2 entry, which would complete a pathway running all the way from karting to the doorstep of Formula 1. Behind the scenes, the technical, sporting and business teams are already deep into preparation for the 2027 campaign, working out of the new Veneto facility that will serve as the team's European headquarters.
LN4 Legacy: Talent first, budget second
Norris is backing a second initiative alongside the team itself: the LN4 Legacy Programme. Run by ADD Management under Programme Director Julian Rouse, it's a fully funded scheme designed to find talented young drivers and strip out the cost barrier, pairing them instead with invaluable coaching, mentoring, performance work and career guidance.
