Bremont as The Classic timing partner

WITH PERFECT TIMING: THE CLASSIC PARTNERS WITH LUXURY BRITISH WATCH BRAND BREMONT

With the clock counting down to The Classic which will be staged at Silverstone over the fast-approaching end-of-summer Bank Holiday weekend (26-28 August), the organisers of the world’s biggest historic motor racing festival are delighted to announce Bremont as the event’s Official Timing Partner for the next three years.

Founded in 2002 by brothers Nick and Giles English, the luxury British watch brand is based in the heart of Henley on Thames. Bremont takes its inspiration from a deep-seated love of historic aircraft and classic cars to make beautifully crafted classical watches of exceptional quality, tested beyond the normal call of duty.

Bremont’s affiliation with motorsports is well known, having worked with Jaguar for over a decade and recently becoming the Official Time Partner of the Williams Formula 1 Racing Team. Underlining those credentials, Bremont co-founder Nick English will be racing a 1953 Austin Healey for the Royal Automobile Club Woodcote Trophy at The Classic (photo above).

Bremont is proud to lead the way in the reinvigoration of British watchmaking, with its new, state-of-the-art Manufacturing and Technology Centre, The Wing, enabling the design, full machining and manufacturing of premium mechanical watches in the UK, so it’s a fitting association in the year that sees The Classic celebrating the Best of British.

“It’s hard to imagine a more perfect timing partner than Bremont,” agreed Nick Wigley, CEO of The Classic promoter Goose Live Events. “The company began its journey, locally to Silverstone, has a massive passion for exquisite engineering and, like us, is saluting the very Best of British. It even calls its own state-of-the art headquarters ‘The Wing’ – the same term applied to Silverstone’s own Formula 1 paddock complex”.

As well as supporting the all-important timing for The Classic’s unrivalled programme of 20 epic retro races, Bremont will also be awarding one of its much sought after watches to one of the competing drivers over the event, whilst also offering tours and watch making Masterclasses to lucky individuals entering competitions being held at the event over the three day weekend.

Bremont’s presence at Silverstone will be further enhanced by pop-up boutiques located in both the National and International Paddocks – they will showcase a selection of Bremont watch collections including Williams F1 and Jaguar timepieces.

“Bremont’s passion for engineering, precision and mechanical craftsmanship, is reflected in our partnership with The Classic which we are incredibly excited about” confirmed Nick English. “Over the next three years, we will be celebrating our adventurous spirit by maximising our involvement in The Classic to introduce Bremont to an engaged new audience.”
