If you’re ready to apply to become a Race Maker, you’ll get the chance to select the role you’d love to do at the Formula 1 British Grand Prix. We’ll do our very best to match you with your preferred choice — although we can’t always guarantee it. 

Once you’re on the team, you’ll also have the flexibility to try different roles at other events throughout the season, depending on what’s available.

Accessibility Team

Join us in helping create an inclusive and enjoyable experience for every spectator at Silverstone. As part of the Accessibility Team, you’ll welcome fans with access needs, support with their enquiries, guide them around the venue, and assist them in accessing dedicated viewing areas and facilities — ensuring everyone has the best possible experience. 

What does this role involve? 

  • Be a warm, friendly welcome for fans with access needs as they arrive at the circuit.
  • Share key accessibility information and answer questions to help fans feel supported every step of the way.
  • Help fans get around the venue, keeping an eye on Accessible Shuttle stops and offering assistance with boarding and drop-offs.
  • Keep our Accessible Shuttle Service running smoothly by passing on pick-up and drop-off requests to our amazing team of drivers.
  • Bring the Race Maker energy on board! Welcome and engage with fans on the Accessible Shuttle Service to make their journey enjoyable.
  • Support fans on our Accessible Viewing Platforms, making sure everyone has a great experience.
  • Be on hand at our accessible facilities within a specific zone, helping resolve any issues and making sure fans have everything they need for an unforgettable day.

Customer Service

Be part of the big-hearted welcome to Silverstone for our fans! We’re looking for enthusiastic and energetic individuals to bring excitement to our fans, while also delivering essential information and guidance. 

What does this role involve? 

  • Greeting fans to Silverstone
  • Creating a welcoming and energetic atmosphere
  • Looking after our Information Points
  • Providing our fans with key information and directions around the venue
  • Entertaining and assisting our fans at gate entrances and areas with queues

People Team

Love helping people and spreading positivity? Join us as a People Team Race Maker and play a key role in supporting our staff and volunteers so everyone can shine! You’ll be at the heart of creating a welcoming, supportive environment, where teamwork, enthusiasm, and a can-do attitude make all the difference. 

What you’ll be doing

  • Welcoming our workforce to the circuit with energy and friendliness
  • Coordinating transport requests for staff and volunteers
  • Supporting logistics and distributing event essentials
  • Assisting Team Leaders to ensure Race Makers have everything they need
  • Promoting a positive, supportive atmosphere in our Race Maker zones
  • Helping our Volunteer Staff team thrive
  • Driving our fleet of vehicles, including minibuses (optional)*

Optional driving role

If you’re interested in driving a minibus within this role, you must be over 25 with a full, clean UK driving license including D1 category, and have a good understanding of traffic laws and safe driving practices. Please note your interest in driving in your application.

Green Champion

Join us on an exciting mission to make racing greener! As a Green Champion, you’ll help fans discover our sustainability initiatives and get involved in fun, green activities around the circuit. From sparking conversations to gathering travel info that reduces our environmental impact, this role gives you the chance to be part of something bigger, have fun, and help us drive toward zero emissions—one fan at a time! 

What does this role involve? 

  • Engaging with fans to share our ‘Shift to Zero’ sustainability campaign
  • Encouraging fans to take part in eco-friendly activities and initiatives at the circuit
  • Collecting travel information from fans to help us reduce our carbon footprint
  • Being a friendly, approachable ambassador for sustainability and fun

Spectator Experience

Be the friendly, welcoming face that greets fans as they arrive at the grandstands, setting the tone for an unforgettable experience! You’ll be creating moments of connection with our fans on the build-up to track action, while providing information and guiding fans to their seats.

  • Welcoming fans to our grandstands
  • Creating an exciting atmosphere within the grandstands

  • Assisting with crowd control
