Silverstone returns to the FIA World Endurance Championship in 2027
The 6 Hours of Silverstone will take place from 23-25 April 2027, becoming the third round of the FIA WEC season.
The event marks the championship's first visit to the Home of British Motorsport since 2019 and revives a partnership responsible for some truly memorable endurance racing moments.
Silverstone previously hosted FIA WEC races between 2012 and 2019, establishing itself as a favourite among teams, drivers and fans alike. The circuit's combination of high-speed corners, technical sequences and unpredictable British weather has consistently produced thrilling racing.
The return also means UK fans will be able to experience the spectacle of Hypercar competition on home soil, with manufacturers including Ferrari, Toyota, Aston Martin, Ford and McLaren expected to battle for victory.
Alongside the Hypercar category, the hugely competitive LMGT3 class will also be in action, creating one of the most prestigious grids in world motorsport.

Nine-round WEC calendar expands championship in 2027
Following several years of calendar stability, the addition of Silverstone expands the WEC schedule to nine rounds, while retaining all eight venues that have featured in recent seasons.
The campaign begins in Qatar before a busy European stretch that takes in Imola, Silverstone, Spa-Francorchamps and the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
After Le Mans, teams head for four flyaway events in Brazil, the United States, Japan and Bahrain, where the 2027 world champions will be crowned.
Why the 2027 WEC season could be the biggest yet
Record crowds, growing global interest and an expanding manufacturer roster have transformed the series into one of motorsport's most competitive championships.
The Hypercar category continues to attract major automotive brands, while LMGT3 has delivered highly competitive racing since its introduction.
With Silverstone returning to the calendar and both Ford and McLaren set to join the Hypercar field in 2027, next season promises to be one of the most eagerly anticipated in recent history.
