Norris back on top with cool-headed drive in Mexico City
After securing a commanding pole position on Saturday, Lando Norris faced immediate pressure at the start.
Leclerc briefly got ahead into Turn 1 – but did so off-track – forcing him to hand the place back. From there, Norris kept his head down, managing the race pace and extending his advantage lap after lap.
Pitting on Lap 35 for a fresh set of Mediums, Norris maintained his rhythm through the second half of the race, keeping his composure to cross the line and take a dominant, well-earned victory at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez.
The win means he overhauls his team-mate in the Drivers’ Standings, topping the table by one point.
Verstappen’s alternate strategy yields valuable podium
Starting fifth on the grid and opting for Medium tyres from the off, Verstappen made an aggressive start, going to the outside of a four-wide melee at Turn 1, cutting across the run-off area, but eventually handing third back to Lewis Hamilton.

The old rivals went back into combat on Lap 6, with both drivers running wide and cutting the track on Lap 6. Lewis held the position, while Bearman capitalised, relegating Max to fifth.
Switching to softs for his second stint, Verstappen surged through the field, carving his way back into podium contention.
He reached the rear of Leclerc on the penultimate lap, but a late Virtual Safety Car halted his charge, leaving Verstappen third at the flag, another important result in the championship fight, bringing the gap down to 36 points.
Bearman brilliance delivers Haas best result of the season
Ollie Bearman produced a career-best drive in Mexico, showcasing racecraft and composure beyond his years.
Starting ninth, the young Brit took advantage of a chaotic opening lap to vault up to sixth, then capitalised on the Hamilton-Verstappen duel to slip into fourth.
When Hamilton served a penalty at his pit stop, Ollie was into third, only to have a fairy-tale first podium snatched from him by the resurgent Verstappen.
From there, Bearman held his own to keep Oscar Piastri at bay through the closing laps. When the Virtual Safety Car neutralised the final laps, Bearman crossed the line in fourth, securing Haas’ best result of the season and his own best result so far in F1.
Piastri fights back to fifth
Championship leader Oscar Piastri endured a trying afternoon in Mexico. Starting seventh, he fell to ninth after the Turn 1 melee but found his rhythm, passing Yuki Tsunoda on Lap 11 for eighth and closing in on George Russell soon after.
An attempted undercut failed to gain him track position on Russell, but a second stop on Lap 48 transformed his race.

Having leapfrogged Kimi Antonelli in the pits, Oscar used the superior grip of his fresher tyres to scythe past Ocon and then Russell for fifth, before setting his sights on Bearman.
He caught the Haas in the final laps, but the late Virtual Safety Car robbed him of a chance to fight for fourth. Still, fifth place ensured he only dropped one point to Norris and didn’t fall too far behind in the title race.
Russell fades to seventh
George Russell’s weekend promised much after qualifying fourth, but the race turned into a frustrating grind for the Mercedes driver.
Having been demoted to fifth by Verstappen off the line, as the race unfolded, Russell slipped further back as he was unable to hold off the faster two-stopping cars of Piastri and Antonelli.
He eventually crossed the line in seventh, adding more points to his tally and keeping him in mathematical championship contention, but a disappointing result after showing top-five pace earlier in the weekend.
Hamilton hit with penalty after Verstappen clash
Lewis Hamilton’s race unravelled after a bright start in Mexico City. Starting third, he avoided chaos on the opening lap as Leclerc and Verstappen both ran off at Turn 1, holding third position in the early laps.
However, a fierce duel with Verstappen on Lap 6 saw both drivers run wide, and later in the race Hamilton was handed a 10-second penalty for failing to follow the escape road correctly at Turn 4.
The penalty, served during his Lap 24 pit stop, dropped Hamilton into the midfield, leaving him eighth at the flag. It was a frustrating conclusion to a weekend that had briefly suggested Ferrari and Hamilton were beginning to click.
