Marc Marquez is part of the 2026 MotoGP rider line-up and the reigning champion

The complete MotoGP line-up for 2026

The full MotoGP grid for 2026 has now been confirmed, with a mixture of big-name signings, rookies stepping up and even a World Superbike star shaping the championship next year.

One of the biggest talking points has been Jorge Martin’s potential move from Aprilia to Honda, a switch that ultimately never happened.

With many riders locked into multi-year contracts running until the end of 2026, the MotoGP line-up remained largely stable, but there are still some big changes that will generate plenty of intrigue before the new regulations are brought into effect in 2027.

Factory Teams

Ducati Lenovo Team

Marc Marquez and Francesco Bagnaia

The massively successful Ducati duo of 2025 continues into 2026, with Marc Marquez proving just as dominant as many feared when he switched to the factory squad.

Despite the injuries Marc sustained in Indonesia, Ducati is still expecting him back on the bike by the season finale, so there’s little doubt the seven-time MotoGP Champion will be back to his best by the start of 2026.

His presence has shifted the balance of power inside the team, leaving Pecco Bagnaia fighting to reassert himself in a torrid season.

Both riders remain under contract until the end of 2026, but all eyes will be on whether Bagnaia can hit back or if Ducati will remain Marquez’s playground.

Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP

Fabio Quartararo and Alex Rins

Yamaha will be hoping the new V4 engine helps the team take a step forward and earn Fabio Quartararo’s trust in the long-term. His future with the team will depend on the progress they make, so there’s a lot riding on 2026.

Alex Rins, meanwhile, has struggled to consistently match his team-mate, with questions about whether that lack of pace is down to the direction of the bike development or lingering effects from old injuries.

The factory Yamaha outfit will need to make some big gains compared to the likes of Ducati to be competitive, but consistent pole positions for Fabio in 2025 suggest things are moving in the right direction.

Red Bull KTM Factory Racing

Pedro Acosta and Brad Binder

Rising star Pedro Acosta remains with KTM after speculation about his future fizzled out, while Brad Binder is under pressure to rediscover his form after a tricky 2025.

KTM also has work to do to close the gap to Ducati and Aprilia, but, like Quartararo, Acosta’s long-term future could hinge on how competitive they are in 2026.

Repsol Honda Team

Joan Mir and Luca Marini

With Jorge Martin eventually deciding against a switch, Honda sticks with Joan Mir and Luca Marini for 2026.
Both riders are under pressure, with Honda desperate to turn around its fortunes before the new rules era begins in 2027.

Aprilia Racing

Jorge Martin and Marco Bezzecchi

Jorge Martin stays put at Aprilia after shelving a possible move, and alongside him Marco Bezzecchi has grown into a consistent threat.

Aprilia looks to be gaining momentum, and this pairing looks like it could be one of, if not Ducati’s biggest challengers heading into 2026.

Satellite Teams

Pertamina Enduro VR46 Ducati

Fabio Di Giannantonio and Franco Morbidelli

No changes at Valentino Rossi’s VR46 squad despite Fabio Di Giannantonio failing to capitalise on the latest-spec Ducati machinery, while Franco Morbidelli continues after rediscovering form with the team.

Gresini Racing Ducati

Alex Marquez and Fermin Aldeguer

The Gresini line-up remains unchanged, with Alex Marquez partnering Fermin Aldeguer.

Alex will carry momentum from his best season in the premier class to date, finishing runner-up to his brother while Fermin will look to build on an impressive rookie season and add to his emphatic victory in Indonesia.

Prima Pramac Racing (Yamaha)

Toprak Razgatlioglu and Jack Miller

The headline arrival for 2026 is WorldSBK superstar Toprak Razgatlioglu, who finally makes his MotoGP debut with Pramac Yamaha. Toprak’s unique riding style will undoubtedly be a major talking point.

Jack Miller beat the departing Miguel Oliveira, Diogo Moreira and Manu Gonzalez to the second Pramac seat and will see out the end of his current contract.

Trackhouse Aprilia

Raul Fernandez and Ai Ogura

Trackhouse stick with Raul Fernandez and Ai Ogura for 2026. Both have shown potential – including Fernandez becoming MotoGP’s latest Grand Prix winner at Phillip Island – but both will need to deliver consistent results if they want to secure long-term futures in the premier class.

LCR Honda

Johann Zarco and Diogo Moreira

Honda’s satellite outfit has an exciting new signing in Diogo Moreira, with the Brazilian rookie signing on a long-term deal.

He’ll partner Johann Zarco, who remains one of Honda’s most reliable performers and has access to works-spec machinery.

Red Bull KTM Tech3

Maverick Vinales and Enea Bastianini

The Tech3 team keeps its 2025 pairing of Maverick Vinales and Enea Bastianini, with both riders staying put on multi-year deals.
