Coming to the Formula 1 Pirelli British Grand Prix 2020, then getting here is easy!

At Silverstone we want our visitors’ to make the most of their day and have a range of transport options available for you to explore and pick the best option to suit you.

Silverstone is situated centrally and located on the border between Northamptonshire and Buckinghamshire about 70 miles from London and 30 miles from Oxford. It is conveniently located on the A43 which is the main trunk road that links two major motorways – the M40 and the M1.

 

Park and Ride

Enjoy a hassle free start to your visit, sit back and relax as our dedicated Park and Ride routes from either the direction of the M1 (Sixfields and Towcester Racecourse) or M40 (Turweston Aerodrome) bring you to the main gates of the circuit.

Service Times – Formula 1 Pirelli British Grand Prix

Buses depart from Park & Ride sites to the circuit from 06:30 to 11:15 (subject to change)
Buses return from Silverstone to Park & Ride sites from 15:00 (Fri/Sat) and 16:30 (Sun) onwards

Important Information
Park and Ride is not suitable for motorbikes, though parking is available for motorbikes at the circuit for free

 

Train

On Sunday 19 July, ride the rails and make the short journey from London Euston or Birmingham New Street to Milton Keynes while you you sit back and relax. With a dedicated connecting shuttle from Milton Keynes to Silverstone you will arrive relaxed and ready to enjoy your day.

Other Train Services

You may also catch your own train to Milton Keynes and catch the MK1 bus service to Silverstone Circuit. Or Northampton train station and catch the N1 Bus service. Both can be paid for on the day. This service is available for Sunday 19 July only.

Stage Coach

Local Stagecoach bus services will be operating.

Weekend services

  • Milton Keynes Central train station (routes 83, MK1 and X91)
  • Northampton train station, Northampton bus station (routes N187 and 88)
  • Sixfields football ground, to Silverstone Circuit (route 87)

Sunday only services

  • N1 – departs every 20 mins from 6am from North Gate Bus Station Bay 14, Northampton Rail Station
  • MK1 – departs every 30 mins from Milton Keynes Rail Station Z6

Onsite Parking

You can park at Silverstone during the Formula 1 Pirelli British Grand Prix with a circuit parking pass. We recommend that you book early to avoid disappointment as parking is subject to availability.

Important Information
*Bike parking is free and no parking pass is needed. However, please select this option in the booking process to help us manage parking at the event.
One car park pass is allocated per four tickets booked.
Car parking at Silverstone will be on grass at one of the many designated car parks around the venue.
Those using Silverstone car parking should be aware that there could be up to a 25 minute walk between the car park and the circuit itself and should ensure that they take this into consideration when planning what to bring if travelling with children or others that may find the distance challenging.
Please ensure you pay for your parking in advance. A valid parking pass must be displayed in your vehicle. A penalty fine will be issued to any vehicle not displaying the correct parking pass.
To make sure your journey is as quick as possible we do not recommend using a sat nav when approaching Silverstone. Instead, follow the signposts that are situated on local roads and on the M1 and M40.
If you are intending to arrive by car from the general direction of the M1/Towcester or M40/Brackley, please indicate this in the booking process
Camping is not permitted in any of the car parks.

 

Bike Parking

Riding in by motorbike? No problem! Parking is free and no parking pass is needed.

However, please select this option in the booking process to help us manage parking at the event.
