JOB PURPOSE 

The Escapade Maintenance Technicians are responsible for maintaining and repairing our facilities equipment, systems, and infrastructure around residence and public areas. The Maintenance Technician has the responsibility of executing maintenance plans, addressing repair needs and collaborating closely with the Maintenance Manager to ensure efficient operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

To create and implement a best-in-class and award-winning guest experience through: 

  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on machinery, mechanical systems, and equipment to ensure they operate effectively and safely. Diagnose and repair malfunctions in mechanical and electrical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other building systems. Assist the maintenance manager in developing and implementing preventive maintenance programs to minimize equipment downtime and extend their lifespan. 
  • Communication and Collaboration: Respond to maintenance requests and emergency situations promptly and efficiently, ensuring minimal disruptions to operations. Work closely with the Maintenance Manager to ensure maintenance is kept to the right standard for staff and guests. Additionally work with contracts and vendors to complete maintenance repair projects. 
  • Guest Assistance: Provide friendly and responsive service to guests, addressing any specific requests or concerns promptly and professionally. Provide courteous assistance to guests, customers and employees, responding to inquiries and requests professionally. 
  • Safety and Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols, including proper handling of tools, equipment, and chemicals, to maintain a safe working environment. Management and completion of risk assessments and method statements. Maintenance and any other training up to date. Ensuring all equipment is compliant across the site. 
  • Sustainability: To promote, implant and act with the sustainability initiatives as directed by Escapade Silverstone

KEY RELATIONSHIPS
  • Escapade Silverstone Guests

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience in a 4-star or 5-star hotel or any other lifestyle/ distinctive brand is desirable but not required 
  • Adhere to health and safety, risk assessments and method statements 
  • Ensure relevant qualifications are met and up to date 
  • A strong, yet positive guest service style 
  • Organized and ability to work within the team or on their own 
  • Strong interpersonal skills 
  • A good command of the English language. Additional languages are advantageous 
  • Maintains impeccable personal grooming and hygiene standards while radiating an aura of elegance and refinement 
  • Competent in using IT systems and software including Microsoft Office 
  • Full clean UK driving licence is desirable
