British Grand Prix hospitality 2026: Meet the chefs at Octane Terrace
29 April 2026During the British Grand Prix weekend, Silverstone hospitality has a habit of serving up one sensory delight after another. F1 cars fly past as your eyes barely keep up with them. A tailored soundtrack fills the gaps left by the roar of engines. And then there’s the unmistakable aroma of exceptional food being plated a few feet away.
In 2026, Silverstone’s most energetic hospitality space is once again bringing together world-class chefs to create a dining experience as impressive as the main event.
World-class food and Formula 1: The perfect mix
Positioned alongside one of the fastest sections of the circuit, Octane Terrace pairs high-speed track action with an atmosphere that evolves throughout the weekend.
But there’s an extra sprinkling of magic with this hospitality experience, and it can be found in the kitchens, where exceptional food is prepared before your eyes. Guests can interact with the chefs while they work, making every dish feel personal to you.
A line-up of culinary excellence
For 2026, Octane Terrace welcomes a roster of chefs whose influence stretches across Michelin-starred kitchens, global food culture and the future of modern dining.
Andrew Wong
A double Michelin-starred chef and a research associate at the School of Oriental & African Studies, Food Studies Centre in London, Andrew Wong’s cooking is rooted as much in cultural exploration as it is in technique. At his restaurant A. Wong, he reimagines Chinese cuisine through a modern lens.

At Octane Terrace, that philosophy translates into flavours that tell stories, with each plate offering a glimpse into the depth and diversity of British and Chinese culinary heritage.
Angela Hartnett OBE
Michelin-starred chef-owner of Café Murano’s and one of the UK’s most respected culinary figures, Angela Hartnett’s Italian-influenced style is comfort food at its best. Decades of experience in some of the world’s top kitchens have shaped a menu style that feels effortless.
At Silverstone, Angela will be serving food that is elegant, seasonal and unmistakably hers, helping to ground you amongst the high-energy surroundings of Octane Terrace.
Kate Austen
Kate Austen’s career speaks for itself. Having spent several years as a sous chef at three Michelin-starred Restaurant Frantzén, she then became the youngest female head chef of a two-Michelin-starred restaurant at Restaurant AOC, and went on to win the Great British Menu.

She’s thrived in some of the most demanding kitchens in the world, and yet, her food remains personal, drawing on memories, people and places. Her style draws on Scandinavian influence, British produce and a sharp technical edge.
Kirk Haworth
After years working in Michelin-starred kitchens around the world, Kirk Haworth’s journey took a turn toward plant-based cooking, driven by health, sustainability and an ambition to revolutionise the industry.
Now a Michelin-starred chef in his own right, Kirk’s food focuses on ingredients from the earth, elevated through technique and creativity, offering something entirely distinct from the rest of the line-up.
Tommy Banks
Tommy Banks was raised on a Yorkshire farm and is now the force behind The Black Swan at Oldstead and Roots in York. His cooking is sculpted by seasonality, sustainability and an uncompromising approach to sourcing ingredients.

As a Michelin star holder and a leading voice in British food, Tommy has also become synonymous with large-scale hospitality at major sporting venues, while simultaneously celebrating the best of UK produce.
More than a menu
Octane Terrace offers a different way to experience the British Grand Prix, one where the food is as much a part of the memories you create as the racing is, and is available for breakfast, lunch, desert and afternoon tea across both Saturday and Sunday.
In the moments between DJ sets, live entertainment and the rhythm of the race weekend, coffees turn into afternoon plates, you might grab something quick between sessions, or linger, plate in hand, as the cars flash past.
Octane Terrace brings all of those things together in one electric space. If you’re exploring F1 hospitality at Silverstone, this is where world-class racing, music and world-class food collide into something truly unforgettable.
