What can't you take into Silverstone?
To help keep the Formula 1 British Grand Prix safe and enjoyable for everyone, a number of items are not permitted inside the venue. Security checks will be in operation at all entrances, so please familiarise yourself with the prohibited items list before travelling.
Alcohol
Alcohol cannot be brought into Silverstone. A wide range of bars, food outlets and hospitality facilities will be available around the circuit throughout the weekend.
Glass bottles and containers
Glass bottles, jars and other glass containers are prohibited. These items can become a safety hazard in busy spectator areas.
Bags larger than 20 litres
The Silverstone bag policy allows smaller day bags, but any bag exceeding 20 litres in capacity will not be permitted. If possible, travel light and bring only the essentials you'll need during the day.
BBQs and restricted substances
BBQs and illegal substances are not allowed inside the venue.
Drones and remote-controlled aircraft

Step ladders and viewing platforms

Fireworks, flares, lasers and smoke canisters
Items that could create a safety risk, including fireworks, pyrotechnics, flares, lasers and smoke canisters, are prohibited.
Offensive or dangerous items
Weapons, dangerous items, offensive materials, inappropriate fancy dress and protest-related items will not be permitted.
Animals
Animals are not permitted within the venue, with the exception of registered assistance and guide dogs.
